"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan jenis pujian dan fungsi tindak tutur memuji yang terdapat dalam serial drama Our Beloved Summer. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan analisis-deskritif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC). Korpus data tuturan yang digunakan penelitian ini diambil dari serial drama Our Beloved Sumner. Hasil dari penelitian ini, jenis pujian kemampuan adalah jenis yang paling banyak digunakan oleh penutur lalu diikuti dengan jenis pujian lainnya seperti sifat, penampilan dan hak milik. Kemudian, fungsi tindak tutur memuji yang paling banyak muncul adalah kekaguman lalu diikuti dengan pengurangan tindakan mengancam muka, solidaritas, hasrat, salam dan membuka pembicaraan.

This study aims to describe the types of compliment and the functions of speech act of compliments in the Our Beloved Summer drama series. This study is a qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The data collection technique used SBLC. The speech data corpus used in this study was obtained from the Our Beloved Summer drama series. The study’s results showed that the function of speech acts of compliment that mostly appeared was admiration followed by soften face threatening, solidarity, reinforcee desired behavior, greetings, and opening and sustain conversations. Then, the speakers mostly applied the topic of ability in the speech act of compliment, followed by other topics such as personality, appearance, and possession."
