"Artikel ini membahas pengaruh cintasebagai motif utama dalam Andromaque karya Jean Racine melalui analisis alur, tokoh, dan penokohan. Analisis juga didukung konsep cinta Alexander Moseley untuk melihat jenis cinta yang dirasakan oleh masing-masing tokoh. Hasil dari penelitian memperlihatkan motif cinta tersebut terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu cinta eros dan cinta agape.Kedua jenis cinta inilah yang membagi karakter tokoh menjadi dua kelompok yang mempunyai ciri masing-masing dan meberikan pengaruh yang berbeda dalam bertindak.

This article focuses on the influence of love as the main theme of Andromaque by Jean Racine, through plot, character, and characterization aspects of the drama text. The analysis is supported by Alexander Moseley rsquo s concept of love to differentiate the kind of love felt by each character. The result from the research shows two different kinds of love felt by the characters which are eros and agape. Those types of love divide the characters into two groups whose characteristics are unique in their own way and give different effects in their actions."

"Ungkapan metaforis dalam lagu di album Racine Carree menarik untuk diteliti karena dapat merepresentasikan sesuatu yang lain dari kata tersebut. Selain itu, juga dapat mengetahui alasan mengapa penulis menggunakan kata tersebut yang dapat dikaitkan dengan latar belakang kehidupannya. Penelitian ini membahas makna dan jenis-jenis metafora yang terdapat dalam tiga lirik lagu rap Prancis “Carmen”, “Formidable”, dan “Papaoutai” di album Racine Carree karya Stromae. Penggunaan metafora dalam lirik lagu juga dikaitkan dengan latar belakang kehidupan Stromae. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis komponen makna Leech (1981) dan teori metafora Ullman (1962). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metafora di dalam tiga lagu yang ditulis di dalam album tersebut menceritakan tentang dirinya sendiri dan merepresentasikan latar belakang hidupnya. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa Stromae merupakan penyanyi yang suka mengakulturasikan budaya di dalam karya-karyanya. Jenis metafora yang dominan dalam tiga lagu tersebut adalah metafora konkret ke abstrak. Tiga lagu ini memiliki kesamaan tema, yaitu kehilangan. Akan tetapi, penggunaan metafora di tiga lagu tersebut memiliki perbedaan pada penggunaan unsur metafora. Hal ini terjadi karena unsur yang hilang dalam setiap lagu berbeda: kehilangan interaksi dalam dunia nyata, kehilangan sosok ayah, dan sosok kekasih.

The metaphorical expression in the song on the album Racine Carree is interesting to discuss because it can represent something else from the word. In addition, you can also find out the reason why the author uses the word that can be related to the background of his life. This research discusses the meaning and types of metaphors contained in three French rap song lyrics "Carmen", "Formidable", and "Papaoutai" on Stromae's Racine Carree album. The use of metaphors in song lyrics is also related to the background of Stromae's life. This research is a qualitative research using Leech's (1981) meaning component analysis and Ullman's metaphorical theory (1962). The results of the research show that the use of metaphors in the three songs written on the album tells about itself and represents the background of his life. In addition, it was found that Stromae is a singer who likes to acculturate culture in his works. The dominant type of metaphor in the three songs is a concrete metaphor to abstract. These three songs have the same theme, namely loss. However, the use of metaphors in these three songs has a difference in the use of metaphorical elements. This happens because the elements lost in each song are different: losing interaction in the real world, losing the figure of the father, and the figure of the lover."

"Salah satu tema tragedi Andromaque Racine adalah cinta tak berbalas di antara keempat tokoh utama. Artikel ini secara khusus meninjau masalah itu melalui analisis alur dan pengaluran serta tokoh dan penokohan. Sebagai alat analisis, digunakan pendekatan semiotika drama dan teater yang diambil dari buku Lire le Théâtre (1977) karya Anne Ubersfeld. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab mendasar dari cinta yang tak berbalas adalah takdir dewa-dewa yang menimpa para tokoh.

One of the themes in Racine’s Andromaque is unrequited love between the four main characters. This article specially reviews the issue through plot and character analysis. Semiotic approach for theater and drama, adapted from Anne Ubersfeld’s Lire le Théâtre (1977), will be used as the analysis tools. Studies show that the fundamental cause of unrequited love is the occurrence of Gods’ fate that falls upon the characters."
