"Seiring perkembangan zaman karya sastra dapat diteliti dari berbagai teori yang berhubungan dengan perilakumasyarakat. Maka, penelitian ini juga membutuhkan teori mengenai perilaku masyarakat. Salah satu pendekatanyang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori yang dikemukakan Pierre Bourdieu. Teori Bourdieuternyata dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis novel Dimsum Terakhir karya Clara Ng, terutama gambaranmengenai perilaku keluarga keturunan Tionghoa dalam hubungan antaranggota keluarga dan dalam hubungansosial. Masalah yang dianalisis berkaitan dengan konsep habitus, modal, dan arena sebagaimana yangdikemukakan Bourdieu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan novel Dimsum Terakhir karya Clara Ngdalam perspektif Bourdieu dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa tokoh-tokoh dalam novel itu menunjukkan perilaku yang berkaitan dengan habitus, modal,dan arena sosial.

The era of literary works can be examined from various theories related to the behavior of society. Thus, the study also needed a theory of community behaviour. One of the approaches that can be used in this study is the theory Pierre Bourdieu. The Bourdieu theory can be used to analyze Clara Ng's Dimsum Terakhir novel, particularly the depiction of the family behavior of Chinese descent in the relationship between family members and in socialrelations. The problems analyzed are related to the concept of habitus, capital, and arena as Bourdieu proposed.The purpose of this research is to explain the novel of Clara Ng's last Dimsum in Bourdieu's perspective using adescriptive analysis of research methods. The results showed that the figures in the novel demonstrated behavior relating to habitus, capital, and social arena."

"Skripsi ini membahas unsur intrinsik dalam novel Dimsum Terakhir karya Clara Ng. Unsur intrinsik yang dibahas dalam novel ini, yaitu tema, tokoh, penokohan, dan amanat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan penjelasan deskriptif analitis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh dan penokohan kembar identik serta menjelaskan keterkaitan antara tema, amanat, tokoh, dan penokohan dalam novel DT.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh dan penokohan kembar identik di dalam novel DT bukan sebagai individu yang memiliki karakteristik dan penampilan yang sama, tema novel DT adalah keluarga, dan amanat yang terdapat dalam novel DT adalah keluarga lebih penting dibandingkan apapun. Tema keluarga disampaikan melalui tokoh dan penokohan, serta amanat di dalam novel DT disampaikan secara implisit melalui perilaku dan peristiwa yang dialami setiap tokoh utama.

This undergraduate thesis discussed about the intrinsic elements in Dimsum Terakhir novel, wrote by Clara Ng. The intrinsic elements discussed in this novel are themes, characters, characterizations, and messages. The method used in this research is qualitative method with analytical descriptive explanation. The purpose of this study is to describe the characters and identification of the identical twins and to describe the relationship between theme, message, character, and characterization in the novel DT.The result shows that the characters and the identification of the identical twin in novel DT are not as individuals who have the same characteristics and appearance, the theme of this novel is family, the message contained in the novel DT is that family is more important than anything. The theme of the novel is conveyed through the characters and characterizations, and the message in the DT novel is implicitly conveyed through the behaviors and the experiences by each of the main characters."

"Reality show merupakan jenis tayangan televisi yang semakin diminati dan bahkan mampu menempati posisi prime time di televisi. Kemiskinan dan kehidupan kaum miskin merupakan salah satu tema yang cukup populer yang diangkat dalam tayangan realita ditelevisi. Tulisan ini membahas fenomena tayang anrealitas di Indonesia, khususnya bagaimana program tayangan realitas mengkontruksi ibadah keagamaan dan distingsi kelas. Empat tayangan realitas yang disiarkan pada momen bulan suci Ramadhan 1432 H yaitu "bukan puasa biasa" (Trans TV). "orang pinggiran" (Trans 7), "jika aku menjadi-Ramadhan" (Trans TV) dan "big brother Indonesia" (Trans TV) menjadi focus kajian dalam tulisan ini. Kajian mendalam terhadap ke empat tayangan realitas tersebut menunjukkan bahwa ada proses tertikasi dan obyektifikasi realitas kemiskinan guna mendefinisikan dan menggarisbawahi ibadah kelas. Tayangan realitas tentang kelas bawah cenderung menampilkan banalitas pesan tentang kemiskinan. Realitas hidup dan ibadah agama kelas bawah hanya menjadi project bagi kelas diatasnya untuk memperbaiki kualitas spiritual keagamaannya dan untuk membangun citra positif tentang sikaya. Persolan kemiskinan, pada akhirnya, hanya dianggap sebagai problem individual yang bisa dilalui atau diatasi dengan religiu sitas dan ketekunan ibadah individual."

Penulis memilih NET. sebagai stasiun yang dianggap sesuai untuk menayangkan program tersebut.Untuk memperoleh data valid yang akan digunakan dalam program penulis melakukan pra-tes dan evaluasi. Pra – tes dilakukan dengan menganalisis data Nielsen, melakukan survey dan melakukan wawancara pakar. Sedangkan evaluasi dilakukan dengan metode Focus Group Disscusion dan wawancara pakar.Mengenai anggaran, pembuatan prototipe ini membutuhkan dana sebesar Rp. 18.080.000. Dengan rencana anggaran produksi per episode sebesar Rp 56.700.000 . Penghitungan pendapatan dihitung berdasarkan rate card dan asumsi persentase standar yang terjadi dalam dunia industri. Sedangkan anggaran pelaksanaan evaluasi prototype adalah sebesar Rp 352.000.

Y generation has unique character, which is autonomy.This character supports them to be interested and to be suited with entrepreneurship. In Indonesia, entrepreneurship is extremely develeping and becoming the topic in may various youth event. Based on research, reality game show becomes an interesting program for Indonesian youth and contains unique value for it's about entrepreneurship. Moreover if this program will be the next great TV program. Therefore, author decided to create a prototype of reality game show program with entrepreurship as the theme.

The major advantage of the development of this prototype is to provide an alternative entertainment program that is able to inspire people especially things about human empowerment in Indonesia. While the main objective is to create an entertainment program that is informative as well as inspiring.

The title of this prototype is "Are You Dare Yet", which is a reality game show that speaks plentiful about entrepreneurship. The author chooses NET. as the television station that proper to broadcast this program.

To have the valid data for the program, the author do some research; pre-test and evaluation. Pre-test has been done by analyzing Nielsen data, conducting survey and interviewing expert. The eveluation has been done with Focus Group Discussion method and interviewing expert.

Budget needed for the making of this prototype is 18.080.000 IDR. Budget plan for the each episode production is 56.700.000 IDR. Income can be calculated based on rate card and standard asumption percentage that is applied in real industri scope. Whilst, budget plan for the evaluation of prototype is 352.000 IDR."

"Realityshow Primitive Runaway (PR) episode Lia Wa Ode dan Rio Dewanto mengunjungi suku Sambori di Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat, merepresentasikan pertemuan dua budaya yang berbeda, modern (Barat) dan tradisional (Timur). Pertemuan dua budaya tersebut menghasilkan oposisi biner maju dan terbelakang, percaya gaib dan berfikir rasional, bersih dan kotor, yang merupakan cara pandang Orientalisme Edward Said yakni cara Barat memosisikan Timur. Penelitian ini membahas bagaimana suku Sambori direpresentasikan dalam Primitive Runaway serta bagaimana sudut pandang orang kota terhadap masyarakat yang tinggal di belahan Indonesia Timur itu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Semiotik Roland Barthes untuk membongkar mitos (mythologies) serta ideologi hegemoni yang terkandung di program reality show ini.

Reality Show Primitive Runaway on Lia Wa Ode and Rio Dewanto episode visiting Sambori tribe in Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat, represented the meeting of two different cultures modern and traditional. The meeting of those two different cultures produced binary opposition, deveveloped and undeveloped, mistics and rational, hygienis and dirty, which was the Orientalism view of Edward Said, how West positioned East. This Research aims to analyze how Sambori tribe represented in Primitive Runaway and the view of modern people about the tribe from East Indonesia. This research used methodology approach of Semiotic Roland Barthes to find the mythologies and its ideology."

"Skripsi ini membahas homoseksualitas di dalam masyarakat Indonesia yang heteronormatif yang direpresentasikan dalam novel Gerhana Kembar karya Clara Ng. Tujuannya adalah mengetahui keberpihakan pengarang terhadap homoseksualitas di Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif-analitik. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh unsur-unsur heteronormativitas dalam novel Gerhana Kembar dan fungsi-fungsinya dalam membangun novel tersebut sebagai karya sastra populer. Kesimpulan dari analisis tersebut adalah bahwa homoseksual dalam novel Gerhana Kembar ditampilkan sebagai orientasi seksual yang tidak berbeda dengan heteroseksual.

This undergraduate thesis analyzes homosexuality among Indonesian heteronormative society which is represented in Gerhana Kembar, a novel by Clara Ng. The purpose is to find the author?s alignments towards homosexuality in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research with descriptive-analytic method. Numbers of heteronormative elements and functions in establishing Gerhana Kembar as work of popular literature are obtained in this research. This analysis has come up with a conclusion that the homosexual in this novel which is shown as sexual orientation is not different with heterosexual."
