"Kurkumin adalah senyawa biokatif yang diisolasi dari Curcuma xanthorrhiza telah diketahui mempunyai efek anti-kanker payudara. Perkembangan sel tumor payudara mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan respon imun yang dimediasi oleh sel limfosit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kurkumin terhadap respon imun pada sel limfosit dari limpa mencit C3H bertumor payudara secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Sel limfosit diisolasi dari limpa mencit C3H bertumor payudara setelah 2 minggu transplantasi tumor, kemudian diberi perlakuan kurkumin dan dikultur dalam inkubator pada 37 oC dan CO2 5%. Pada penelitian ini perlakuan dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan yaitu perlakuan P1 dengan dosis kurkumin 5 ppm, perlakuan P2 dengan dosis kurkumin 25 ppm, perlakuan P3 dengan dosis kurkumin 50 ppm, dan perlakuan K tanpa perlakuan kurkumin sebagai kontrol. Respon imun ditentukan berdasarkan proliferasi sel limfosit melalui pengamatan dan penghitungan jumlah sel limfosit selama lima hari yakni hari ke 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5. Penghitungan jumlah sel limfosit dilakukan dengan metode haemositometer dibawah mikroskop fase kontras. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan sel limfosit dengan kurkumin sampai hari ke 5 menyebabkan penekanan/supresi pada sel limfosit sebesar: perlakuan kurkumin 5 ppm 52%, perlakuan kurkumin 25 ppm 55%, dan perlakuan kurkumin 50 ppm 41%. Hasil analisis statistik dengan uji ANOVA satu arah dan uji Post Hoc Duncan menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap jumlah sel limfosit dengan perlakuan dosis kurkumin yang berbeda (5,25, dan 50 ppm).

Curcumin is a bioactive compound isolated from Curcuma xanthorrhiza having biological activities as anti-breast cancer. The development of tumor cell has a strong relationship with cellular immune response mediated by lymphocyte cell. The aim of this study was to find out the effects of curcumin on proliferation of lymphocyte cells from the spleen of breast cancer C3H mice in vitro. This research applied experimental method by using lymphocyte cell isolated from the spleen of breast cancer C3H mice after two weeks of mammary tumor transplantation. Lymphocyte cells were treated with curcumin then cultured in incubator at 37 oC, 5% CO2 . The treatments divided into 4 groups: P1 was group treated with 5 ppm of curcumin, P2 was group treated with 25 ppm of curcumin, P3 was group treated with 50 ppm of curcumin and K group without curcumin treatment as a negative control. Immune response was determined based on cell proliferation through lymphocyte cell amount counting at day-1, day-2, day-3,day- 4, and day-5. The amount of lymphocyte cells were counted using haemocytometer methode under contrast phase microscope. The result of this study indicated that curcumin treatment suppressed the proliferation of lymphocyte cell: 52% of lymphocyte supression for treatment with 5 ppm of curcumin, 55% of lymphocyte supression for treatment with 25 ppm of curcumin, 41% of lymphocyte supression for treatment with 50 ppm of curcumin. one way-ANOVA and Post Hoc Duncan test showed that there were not significant differentiation against lymphocyte cell amount with the variety of doses of curcumin (5, 25, 50 ppm)."

"Banyak penelitian mengenal upaya pengobatan kanker yang telah dilakukan, namun cara pengobatan dengan bedah, radioterapi dan kemoterapi dewasa ini masih memerlukan biaya tinggi yang sering tidak terjangkau oleh penderita dari galongan masyarakat menengah dan bawah. Walaupun berbagai kemajuan telah dicapai, namun hasil pengobatan umumnya kebanyakan kasus di Indonesia, sudah ada pada stadium lanjut, masih kurang memuaskan yang ditunjukkan dengan survival rate yang masih rendah. Oleh karena itu senantiasa dicari cara yang lebih baru untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik dengan biaya yang secara ekonomis lebih rendah. Salah satu cara yang ditempuh adalah dengan jalan menggali dan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam nabati.

Latar belakang
Walaupun penyebab timbulnya kanker sampai saat ini masih banyak lagi yang belum diketahui secara pasti, namun menurut beberapa peneliti kebiasaan makan atau diet dapat menyebabkan timbulnya kanker, seperti di Amerika Serikat yang golongan makanannya hanya bahan nabati (vegetarian) ternyata menunjukkan insides kanker payudara lebih rendah bila dibandingkan dengan golongan lain yang banyak makan daging.
Hal itu juga didukung oleh peneliti lain yang menyatakan bahwa rendahnya pemakaian (jumlah yang masuk ke dalam tubuh) sayuran, buah-buahan, β -karoten secara kansisten berkaitan dengan risiko mendapatkan kanker paru, baik yang dibuktikan melalui studi retrospektif maupun prospektif. Juga dibuktikan bahwa rendahnya kadar β -karaten dalam plasma atau serum selalu berkaitan dengan timbulnya kanker paru. Hai ini terjadi karena β -karoten bersifat protektif dan agaknya tidak perlu dikonversi ke vitamin A."

"Ruang lingkup dan cara penelitian: Metilprednisolon (MPL) merupakan glukokortikoid yang berperan penting dalam respon imun spesifik yaitu efek supresi terhadap sel limfosit T, sehingga digunakan untuk mencegah rejeksi pada pasta transplantasi organ. Untuk pencegahan tersebut diperlukan metilprednisolon dosis tinggi untuk jangka pemberian cukup lama yang dapat menyebabkan efek samping obat yang berat yaitu efek imimosupresi yang kuat. Obat yang diinkorporasikan ke dalam liposom terbukti dapat memberikan efek yang lebih kuat dibandingkan obat babas tetapi MPL tidak terinkorporasi dengan baik dalam liposom sehingga disintesis MPLP. Metilprednisolon palmitat (MPLP) adalah senyawa yang berhasil diinkorporasikan ke dalam liposom membentuk liposom metilprednisolon palmitat (LMPLP). Metilprednisolon palmitat diharapkan dapat menurunkan efek samping yang ditimbulkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek supresi liposom metilprednisolon palmitat terhadap proliferasi limfosit T subpopulasi CD4+ dan CDS+ yang distimulasi oleh concavalin A. Limfosit dipisahkan dari darah perifer manusia, kemudian dikultur dengan pemberian LMPLP pada konsentrasi 0,4 mM, 0,1 mM dan 0,025 mM dibandingkan MPL pada konsentrasi yang sama. Jumlah limfosit hasil kultur dihitung menggunakan kannar hitung improved Neubauer yang diwarnai dengan trypan blue 0,25 %. Selanjutnya limfosit T subpopulasi CD4+ dan CDS+ dihitung menggunakan antibodi monokional yang dilabel dengan zat warna fluorescein isothiocyanate dan phycoerythrin memakai low-cytometer.
Hasil dan kesimpulan: Hasil kultur limfosit in vitro, pemberian LMPLP maupun MPL menyebabkan penurunan jumlah limfosit yang bermakna dibandingkan liposom atau kontrol RPMI, sedangkan pemberian LMPLP menunjukkan kecenderungan memberikan efek supresi terhadap proliferasi limfosit T yang lebih besar dibandingkan MPL walaupun secara statistik tidak berbeda bermakna (p > 0,05). Pemberian LMPLP maupun MPL pada konsentrasi 0,4 mM, 0,1 mM dan 0,025 mM tidak menunjukkan penurunan jumlah sel limfosit T subpopulasi CD4- maupun CD8+ yang berbeda bermakna (p > 0,05). Liposom metilprednisolon palmitat lebih menekan proliferasi sel CD84 dibandingkan CD4. Sedangkan lerhadap rasio jumlah sel limfosit T subpopulasi CD4+/CD8+ diperoleh dosis optimal pada pemberian LMPLP konsentrasi 0,1 mM.

Scope and methods: Methylprednisolone is a glucocorticoid which is very important in specific immune response, especially in suppression effect to T lymphocyte and it has been used to prevent the rejection of organ transplantation. For that purpose, a high dose of methyprednisolone was used and in long term therapy may have a side effect such strong immunosuppression. Drugs incorporating in liposome give more strong effect that free drugs, but methyprednisolone not good incorporating in liposome. So methylprednisolone palmitate (MPLP) was sinthetized for that purpose. Methylprednisolone palmitate was successfully incorporate in liposome as a liposome methylprednisolone palmitate (L-MPLP). Liposome methylprednisolone palmitate was expected has minimum side effect. The aim of this study is to explore to know the suppression effect of L-MPLP to the subpopulation of CD4+ and CDs+ T lymphocyte proliferation which have been stimulated by concanavalin A. Lymphocyte was isolated from human peripheral blood and cultured in L-MPLP and MPL at the dose of 0,4 mM, 0,1 mM and 0,025 mM. The number of lymphocyte was counted by improved Neubauer and stained with 0,5% tryphan blue. CD4+ and CDs subpopulation of lymphocyte was counted by monoclonal antibody labelled by fluorescein isothiocyanate and phycoerythrin using flow-cytometer.
Result and summary: Lymphocyte culture in vitro after administration of L-MPLP or MPL decreased number of lymphocyte significantly compared to liposome or RPMI as control. Although the administration of MPLP showed tendency of the reduction of the presentation of more than MPL but statistically not significance (p > 0,05). The administration of L-MPLP or MPL at the dose of 0,4 mM, 0,1 mM and 0,025 mM not showed a significance decreased of CD4+ and CDs+ subpopulation of T lymphocyte. The has administration of L-MPLP or MPL was not changing CD4+ and CDs+ subpopulation T lymphocyte. Liposome methylprednisolone palmitate could be suppressed the proliferation of CDC more than CD4+ subpopulation T lymphocyte. The optimal dose of L-MPLP to decrease the ratio CD4+ and CDs+ subpopulation T lymphocyte was 0,1 mM."

"Ruang Lingkup dan Cara Penelitian:
Di Indonesia angka kematian karena kanker terus meningkat dari 1,45 dalam tahun 1972 menjadi 4,4% dalam tahun 1992. Dari studi prospektif dan retrospektif diketahui bahwa karotenoid mengurangi risiko mendapatkan kanker payudara, (β -karoten adalah salah satu karotenoid yang dikandung oleh minyak kelapa sawit (600.000 µg/Kg). Karena cara pengobatan pembedahan, radioterapi dan kemoterapi cukup mahal dan acapkali tidak terjangkau oleh sebagian golongan masyarakat, maka perlu dicari cara lain, di antaranya memanfaatkan β -karoten yang ada dalam minyak kelapa sawit, namun perlu diteliti dosis ekstrak minyak kelapa sawit (EMKS) yang tepat.
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian EMKS yang mengandung β -karoten sebanyak 0,02 µg /ml, 0,1 µg/ml dan 0,5 µg /ml terhadap pertumbuhan in vitro set tumor kelenjar susu mencit C3H. Digunakan 5 kelompok masing-masing 6 ulangan yang terdiri atas 3 kelompok uji dan 2 kelompok kelola (kelola babas dan kelola pelarut). Selain itu dilakukan pula penelitian secara in vivo dengan dosis 1000 µg/0,1 ml dan 2000 µg/0,1 ml per hari selama 21 hari dengan menggunakan 24 ekor mencit yang dibagi dalam 2 kelompok kelola dan 2 kelompok uji.
Hasil dan Kesimpulan:
Dengan melakukan analisis varian pada hasil penelitian diketahui tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara kelompok kelola dan kelompok uji dosis 0,02 µg /ml. Kemaknaan terjadi pada dosis 0,1 µg/ml dan 0,5 µg/ml. Ditemukan bahwa makin besar dosis yang diberikan makin kecil rasio pertumbuhan biakan sel tumor. Selain itu analisis varian indek label (IL) BUdR menunjukkan bahwa makin besar dosis EMKS yang diberikan, makin rendah nilai Ilnya. Sedangkan penelitian in vivo dengan dosis 1000 µg/0,1 ml dan 2000 µg/0,1ml tidak memperlihatkan pengaruh EMKS terhadap volume dan berat tumor kelenjar susu mencit C3H.
Berdasarkan hal tersebut di atas dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pemberian EMKS dapat menghambat bertumbuhan sel tumor kelenjar susu mencit C3H secara in vitro pada dosis 0,1 µg/ml dan 0,5 µg/ml. Sedangkan secara in vivo dengan dosis 1000 µg/0,1 ml dan 2000 µg/0,1 ml pertumbuhan se tumor kelenjar susu mencit belum dihambat.
Scope and methods of study:
The mortality of cancer in Indonesia had been increasing from 1.4% in 1972 to 4.4% in 1992. Through prospective and retrospective studies it was known that carotenoid could lessen the risk for getting breast cancer. 0-carotene was one of the carotenoids contained in palm oil (600.000 µg/Kg). Because the treatment of breast cancer by surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy was rather expensive and often not within reach by part of the people, so other way of treatment should be sought, among others by using f3-carotene in palm oil of which the precise dose should be first determined.
This investigation was done to know the effect of putting palm oil extract (POE) containing respectively 0.02 µgl0,/ml; 0.1 µg/0,1ml and 0.5 µg/0,lml on the in vitro growth of C3H mouse mammary tumor cells. Five groups of each six repetitions consisting of three treated and two control groups. Besides an in vivo investigation was done with doses of 1000 µg/0,1 ml and 2000 µg/0,1 ml per day respectively for 21 days, by using 24 mice which was divided into two control and two treatment groups.
Result and conclusion:
By using variance analysis it was found that there was no significant difference between the control groups and the 0.02 µg/0, l ml treated group; significant difference occurred at groups of 0.1 µg/0, l ml and 0.5 µg/0,1 ml doses. It was found that the bigger the dose given the smaller ratio of tumor cell growth. Beside this it was known also from the variance analysis of the BUdR labeling index that putting palm oil extract on the tumor cell culture lessen the value of the labeling index conform with the dose given.
Whereas the in vivo investigation of 0-carotene contained in POE given in doses of 1000 µg/0,1 ml and 2000 µg/0,1 ml showed no significant difference on the tumor volume and tumor weights between the control and treatment groups.
Based on the above investigation was concluded that treatment with POE containing 0-carotene in doses of 0.1 µg/0,1 ml and 0.5 µg10, l ml could inhibit the in vitro growth of C3H mouse mammary tumor cells. While with doses of 1000 µg/0,1 ml and 2000 µg/0,1 ml the in vivo growth of mouse mammary tumor cells had not inhibited yet.

Karena cara pengobatan kanker payudara yang berlaku selama ini (dengan pembedahan, radioterapi dan kemoterapi) cukup mahal, dan acapkali tidak terjangkau oleh sebagian golongan masyarakat, maka perlu dicari cara lain, di antaranya memanfaatkan beta-karoten yang ada dalam minyak kelapa sawit, namun perlu diteliti dosis ekstrak minyak kelapa sawit yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak minyak kelapa sawit yang mengandung beta-karoten sebanyak 0,02 ug/ml, 0,1 ug/ml dan 0,5 ug/m1 terhadap pertumbuhan in vitro sel tumor kelenjar susu mencit C3H, menggunakan 5 kelompok masing-masing 7 ulangan dan terdiri atas 3 kelompok perlakuan dan 2 kelompok kontrol.
Dengan melakukan analisis Ovarian diketahui tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan dosis 0,02 ug/ml. Kemaknaan terjadi pada dosis 0,1 ug/ml dan 0,5 pug/ml. Ditemukan bahwa makin besar dosis yang diberikan makin kecil rasio pertumbuhan biakan sel tumor. Selain itu dari hasil analisa varian indek label BUdR diketahui bahwa pemberian EMKS memperkecil nilai indek labelnya sesuai dengan dosis yang diberikan. Dengan demikian terlihat adanya pengaruh betakaroten dalam ekstrak minyak kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan biakan in vitro sel tumor kelenjar susu mencit C3H, dalam wujud menurunnya rasio pertumbuhan dan indek label BUdR yang berarti dihambat sel yang memasuki fase s, sehingga laju pertumbuhan sel dihambat."

"[ABSTRAK
Kanker payudara adalah penyakit multifaktor yang mengakibatkan insiden kematian wanita tertinggi di dunia. Pengobatan kanker payudara berupa pembedahan, radioterapi, dan kemoterapi memiliki efek samping sehingga perlu pengobatan alternatif, salah satunya menggunakan bahan herbal. Daun sirsak (Annona muricata Linn) dilaporkan memiliki efek antitumor dan sitotoksik, tetapi penelitian in vivo terhadap kanker payudara masih sedikit, dibutuhkan penelitian lanjut mengenai efektivitas dan jalur penghambatan daun sirsak terhadap berbagai kanker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat dan dosis efektif ekstrak metanol daun sirsak (Annona muricata Linn) terhadap pertumbuhan tumor payudara mencit C3H secara in vivo. Sebanyak 30 ekor mencit galur C3H yang ditransplan dengan tumor payudara dari mencit C3H donor bertumor, dibagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu kontrol negatif hanya diberi pelarut CMC 0,5%, kontrol positif diberi doksorubisin, kelompok pemberian ekstrak daun sirsak dosis 15, 30, dan 45 mg/kg BB. Setiap mencit dicekok ekstrak daun sirsak 0,2 cc per hari selama 21 hari, sedangkan kelompok kontrol positif diberikan doksorubisin secara intra vena 0,03 μg/20g BB seminggu sekali selama 21 hari. Panjang dan lebar tumor diukur di awal dan seminggu sekali selama perlakuan untuk mendapatkan data volume tumor. Pada akhir penelitian mencit dinekropsi, tumor mencit ditimbang dan dilakukan pewarnaan AgNOR untuk diukur aktivitas proliferasi sel. Hasil uji Anova menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna (p=0,007) antar perlakuan terhadap volume tumor akhir dan terhadap aktivitas proliferasi (p=0,001). Uji Kruskal Wallis terhadap berat tumor menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna antar perlakuan (p=0,03). Hasil uji korelasi Spearman secara bermakna (p=0,03) menunjukkan ada korelasi positif antara aktivitas proliferasi sel dengan pertumbuhan volume tumor dengan kekuatan korelasi yang lemah (r=0,39). Disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak metanol daun sirsak (Annona muricata Linn) dapat menghambat laju pertumbuhan volume tumor dan aktivitas proliferasi sel kanker payudara mencit C3H dan optimum penghambatan pada dosis 30 mg/kg

BB.;Breast cancer is a multifactor disease that has been a leading cause of woman?s mortality. Treatments for breast cancer such as surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy have their own side effects, so that alternative treatments such as herbal medicine are needed. Soursop leaf (Annona muricata Linn) has been reported to have antitumor and cytotoxic effects, but only few conducted in vivo, an advanced research is needed to find the effectiveness and the inhibition pathway of the soursop leaf. The purpose of this research is to find out the inhibition capacity and the effective dose of soursop leaf methanol extract (Annona muricata Linn) against the development of C3H mice?s breast cancer in vivo. There were thirty mice of C3H strain which were transplanted with breast tumor and they were divided into five groups consisting of negative control group which was given only solvent CMC 0.5%, a positive control group which was given doxorubicin, a dose group of 15 mg/kg BB, a dose group of 30 mg/kg BB, and a dose group of 45 mg/kg BB. Each mouse was given 0,2 cc soursop leaf extract every day for 21 days while the positive control group was given doxorubicin 0,03 μg/20 gram BB once a week for 21 days intravenously. The length and the width of the tumor were measured at the beginning and also measured once a week during the experiment process to gain the data of the tumor volume. At the end of the research, the tumor of the mice was lifted and weighed and it was stained by AgNOR to measure the proliferation activity of the cell. The Anova result showed that there was a significant difference (p=0,007) between treatment against the development of tumor which was marked by the decrease of the tumor volume and proliferation activity (p=0,001). The Kruskal Wallis result showed that there was no significant difference (p<0,33) in the tumor weight. Spearman correlation study significantly (p=0,03) indicated that there was a positive correlation between the cell proliferation activity and the growth of the tumor but in a weak correlation (r=0,39). There were thirty mice of C3H strain which were transplanted with breast tumor and they were divided into five groups consisting of negative control group which was given only solvent CMC 0.5%, a positive control group which was given doxorubicin, a dose group of 15 mg/kg BB, a dose group of 30 mg/kg BB, and a dose group of 45 mg/kg BB. Each mouse was given 0,2 cc soursop leaf extract every day for 21 days while the positive control group was given doxorubicin 0,03 μg/20 gram BB once a week for 21 days intravenously. The length and the width of the tumor were measured at the beginning and also measured once a week during the experiment process to gain the data of the tumor volume. At the end of the research, the tumor of the mice was lifted and weighed and it was stained by AgNOR to measure the proliferation activity of the cell. The Anova result showed that there was a significant difference (p=0,007) between treatment against the development of tumor which was marked by the decrease of the tumor volume and proliferation activity (p=0,001). The Kruskal Wallis result showed that there was no significant difference (p<0,33) in the tumor weight. Spearman correlation study significantly (p=0,03) indicated that there was a positive correlation between the cell proliferation activity and the growth of the tumor but in a weak correlation (r=0,39). "Berdasarkan beberapa hasil penelitian di Jepang ' teh hijau diketahui mempunyai efek anti kanker, oleh karenanya potensi tersebut perlu dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak air teh hijau {Camelia sinensis . Kuntze terhadap proliferasi sel tumor kelenjar susu mencit {Mus musculus L.) galur C3H. Bubur tumor kelenjar susu mencit donor ditransplantasikan pada mencit resipien dan setelah masa laten, mencit resipien dicekok ekstrak air teh hijau dengan dosis 250 mg/kg berat badan mencit, 500 mg/kg berat badan mencit dan 1000 mg/kg berat badan mencit setiap hari selama tiga minggu. Sebagai kontrol pelarut digunakan akuades. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap hari, meliputi perubahan besar volume tumor dan berat akhir tumor. Hasil analisis secara statistik menunjukkan adanya pengaruh bermakna daya hambat ekstrak air teh hijau terhadap proliferasi sel tumor kelenjar susu mencit {Mus musculus L. ) galur C3H pada = 0,05. Daya hambat ini dapat disimpulkan dari perbedaan persentasi pertambahan volume antara mencit kontrol positif dan kontrol pelarut dibandingkan dengan mencit yang diberikan perlakuan dosis 500 mg/kg berat badan mencit dan dosis 1000 mg/kg berat badan mencit. Daya hambat terbesar didapat pada mencit yang diberi perlakuan dosis 500 mg/kg berat badan mencit."

"Dari studi Epidemiologi diketahui bahwa karotenoid cenderung mengurai risiko timbulnya kanker. Karena pengobatan kanker cukup mahal sehingga tidak terjangkau sebagian masyarakat, maka perlu dicari cara lain, di antaranya memanfaatkan β -karoten dalam EMKS, namun perlu dicari dosis yang tepat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah pemberian EMKS dapat menghambat laju pertumbuhan sel tumor.
Penelitian ini menggunakan 24 ekor mencit yang telah diinokulasi dengan bubur tumor dibagi kedalam 2 kelompok kelola dan 2 kelompok perlakuan yang dicekok EMKS dengan dosis 1000 µg/0,1 ml dan 2000 µg/0,1 m1/hari selama 21 hari. Pengukuran volume tumor dilakukan satu minggu sekali . Setelah 21 hari semua mencit dimatikan, lalu diukur volume akhir tumor, berat tumor dan dibuat sediaan mikroskopik yang diwarnai secara imunoperoksidase dengan anti BUdR, lalu dihitung IL (sel yang berada pada fase S).
Hasil analisis varian tidak ada perbedaan baik pada volume akhir tumor minggu ke dua, ketiga, setelah mencit dimatikan, berat tumor maupun IL BUdR antara kelompok kelola dan perlakuan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut di atas dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pemberian β-karoten dalam EMKS dosis 1000 µg10,1 ml dan 2000 µg/0,1 m1/hari beium dapat menghambat laju pertumbuhan sel."

"ABSTRAK
Pasien kanker payudara sering terjadi penurunan sistem imun yaitu menurunnya limfosit, yang dapat meningkatkan angka kematian. Akupunktur diharapkan dapat menjadi pilihan terapi untuk meningkatkan limfosit karena terapi farmakologi saat ini harganya sangat mahal dan mempunyai efek samping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan tindakan EA sebagai immunomodulator terhadap imunitas seluler dengan meningkatkan jumlah persentase limfosit sediaan apus darah tepi pada mencit C3H model adenokarsinoma payudara. Penelitian eksperimental laboratorik dengan post test only control group design melibatkan dua puluh sediaan apus darah tepi yang diambil dari 20 mencit C3H model adenokarsinoma payudara yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok yaitu Kelompok K tidak diberi perlakuan EA, kelompok P1 dilakukan EA 1 kali, kelompok P2 dilakukan EA 2 kali dan P3 dilakukan EA 3 kali. Tindakan EA dilakukan pada titik ST36 Zusanli, BL18 Ganshu, BL20 Pishu dengan frekuensi 2Hz selama 15 menit. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata persentase limfosit tertinggi terdapat pada kelompok P2 49,60 7,021 . Dengan uji ANOVA jumlah persentase limfosit antara kelompok P1, P2, P3 dan kelompok kontrol tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata yang bermakna p=0.811 . Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu elektroakupunktur meningkatkan jumlah persentase limfosit sediaan apus darah tepi pada mencit C3H model adenokarsinoma payudara.

ABSTRACT
Breast Cancer Patients often decrease the immune system that is decreased lymphocytes, which can increase mortality. Acupuncture is expected to be a therapeutic option to increase lymphocytes because current pharmacological therapy is very expensive and has side effects. This study aims to prove the action of EA as an immunomodulator against cellular immunity by increasing the percentage of lymphocytes of peripheral blood smear in C3H mice of breast adenocarcinoma model. Laboratory experimental study with post test only control group design involving twenty peripheral blood smear preparations taken from 20 mice C3H breast adenocarcinoma model divided into 4 groups ie Group K not given EA treatment, group P1 performed EA 1 times, group P2 performed EA 2 times and P3 done EA 3 times. The action of EA is done at ST36 Zusanli point, BL18 Ganshu, BL20 Pishu with frequency of 2Hz for 15 minutes. The result showed that the highest percentage of lymphocyte was found in group P2 49,60 7,021 . With ANOVA test, the number of lymphocyte percentages between P1, P2, P3 and control group did not have significant mean difference p 0.811 . The conclusion obtained is that electroacupuncture increases the percentage of lymphocytes of the peripheral blood smear in C3H mice of breast adenocarcinoma model. "
