"Digitalisasi media massa di era internet mendorong pergeseran sistem, baik dalam ruang redaksi yang bertugas memproduksi berita maupun divisi non-berita yang menjalankan operasionalisasinya. Media daring perlu memenuhi key performance index (KPI) agar memenuhi ekspektasi untuk mendapatkan pendapatan iklan. Sensasionalisme menjadi salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk meraih hal tersebut. GridPop.id sebagai salah satu situs yang berada di bawah naungan Grid.id menyajikan berita peristiwa tentang perempuan termasuk peristiwa kekerasan seksual. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aspek, karakteristik, dan diksi sensasionalisme. Melalui analisis 7 dari 93 berita kekerasan seksual yang rilis di GridPop.id pada bulan April tahun 2022, ditemukan bahwa penggunaan aspek: pemilihan topik, gaya penulisan, pemanfaatan fakta, dan penggunaan kiasan; karakteristik: berita lunak dan referensi dalam judul; serta serta penggunaan diksi yang tidak disarankan muncul dan berkontribusi dalam penggunaan sensasionalisme secara keseluruhan.

The digitalization of mass media in the internet era has driven a shift in the system, both in the newsroom that is in charge of producing news and in the non-news division that carries out its operations. Online media need to meet the key performance index (KPI) in order to meet expectations to earn advertising revenue. Sensationalism is one of the methods used to achieve this. GridPop.id as one of the sites under the auspices of Grid.id provides news on events about women, including incidents of sexual violence. This paper aims to analyze the aspects, characteristics, and diction used in sensationalism. Through 7 article analysis of 93 sexual violence news released on GridPop.id in April 2022, it was found the use of aspects: topic selection, writing style, use of facts, and use of figures of speech; characteristics: soft news and references in the title; as well as the use of disapproved diction exist and contributed to the overall use of sensationalism."

"[ ABSTRAKMakalah ini meneliti penerapan elemen jurnalisme yang dilakukan oleh majalah independen, khususnya Majalah JAX. Majalah independen merupakan subjek kajian penting terutama karena karakteristiknya yang bertentangan dengan media arus utama, dimana penerapan prinsip jurnalisme sudah banyak diteliti sebelumnya. Dengan melakukan analisis tekstual terhadap konten majalah, makalah ini berargumen bahwa penerapan elemen-elemen jurnalisme dalam sebuah media alternatif dapat membantu mereka untuk meningkatkan kredibilitas di mata publik. Hal ini penting pula agar majalah mampu bertahan secara ekonomi.
