"Dilihat dari segi semantis, pola 就要... 了 jiuyao... le dan 快要... 了 kuaiyao... le memiliki makna yang mirip dan sama-sama digunakan untuk menerangkan suatu peristiwa yang akan terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas tipe peristiwa yang terdapat dalam pola 就要... 了 jiuyao... le dan 快要... 了 kuaiyao... le serta perbedaan tipe peristiwa di antara kedua pola tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam menganalisis dan mengklasifikasikan tipe peristiwa adalah teori medan makna ranah peristiwa (events) yang dikemukakan oleh Nida (1975). Sumber data berupa 21 artikel pada portal berita daring RRT (Republik Rakyat Tiongkok). 4 tipe peristiwa terdapat dalam kedua pola ini, yaitu kegiatan kompleks, fisiologis, intelektual dan gerakan, sedangkan 4 tipe peristiwa lainnya hanya terdapat dalam satu pola yaitu meliputi peristiwa emosi, fisika/alamiah, tumbukan, dan kendali. Peristiwa emosi dan kendali hanya terdapat dalam pola 就要... 了jiuyao... le, sedangkan peristiwa fisika/alamiah dan tumbukan hanya terdapat dalam pola 快要... 了kuaiyao... le. Perbedaan tipe peristiwa yang muncul dalam kedua pola terletak pada konteks peristiwa, berkaitan dengan harapan atau keinginan atau berkaitan dengan individu atau orang banyak.

Viewed from a semantic aspect, 就要...了 jiuyao... le and 快要... 了 kuaiyao... le patterns have similar meanings and both are used to explain an event that is going to occur. This research aims to examine the types of events in 就要...了 jiuyao... le and 快要... 了 kuaiyao... le patterns and the differences types of events between this two patterns. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The theory used to analyze and classify the types of events is the events domains of semantic domains theory proposed by Nida (1975). The data source is 21 articles on the PRC (Peoples Republic of China) online news portal. There are 4 types of events in both patterns, namely complex activities, physiological, intellectual and movement events, while 4 other types of events are only in one pattern, emotive, physical, impact, and control events. Emotive and control events are only found in the 就要... 了 jiuyao...le pattern, whereas the physical and impact events are only in the 快要... 了 kuaiyao... le pattern. The difference on the type of events in both of patterns is due to contextual aspects, either related to expectations or desires or related to individual or people."
