"Sejalan dengan semakin pesatnya kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di dunia, Iptek telah merambah, menyentuh dan mempengaruhi seluruh segi kehidupan manusia. Salah satu tolok ukur kemajuan suatu bangsa sekarang diukur dari penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologinya. Sangat disayangkan, kenyataan di Indonesia sekarang masih kurangnya minat masyarakat terhadap perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di negara kita, serta masih dirasa terdapatnya jurang yang dalam antara masyarakat umum dengan dunia per-Iptek-kan. Keberadaan Science Center di negara kita diharapkan dapat menjembatani setidaknya memperkecil jurang antara dunia Iptek dengan masyarakat umum. Science Center merupakan sarana pengenalan/pengakraban prinsip-prinsip 1ptek kepada masyarakat melalui kegiatannya yang melibatkan emosi,rasa dan aka! pengunjung. Tujuan dari kegiatan utama dalam Science Center adatah peragaan prinsip-prinsip iptek. Sesuai dengan sifat 1ptek yang selalu berkembang pendekatan perancangan pada bangunan dengan menyediakan fasilitas ruang pameran/peragaan yang fleksibel bila sewaktu-waktu tema pameran berubah, serta juga untuk rnerigantisipasi kemungkinan per gem bangsn fungsi/kegiatan. Berawal dari pemikiran bahwa ilmu pengetahuan merupakan interprettasi manusia terhadap fenomena alam, perancangan bangunan diusahakan memasukkan unsur-unsur alam serta memanfaatkan potensi tapak sebagai bagian dari bangunanikegiatan dalam bangunan. Dengan demikian pengunjung (diharapkan) dapat memahami penerapan prinsip-prinsip iptek diiingkungan sekitarnya, rnenyadari akan potensi-potensi alam yang belum terolah sekaligus belajar menghargai dan mencintai lingkungan alam sekitarnya."

Maka tentu saja situasi eksklusifseperti ini sudah tidak lagi relevan dengan perubahan sosial yang terjadi, danmenjadi suatu ancaman bagi keberlangsungan institusi mengingat fungsi sciencecenter yang sangat berhubungan erat dengan masyarakat, yaitu sebagaikomunikator. Oleh karena itu perubahan ke arah inklusif adalah salah satu solusiyang tepat untuk science center PP-IPTEK. Inklusivitas merupakan karakteristiksosial di era globalisasi ini yang menuntut adanya pengakuan dan penghargaanterhadap keragaman, keterbukaan, dan kebersamaan dalam seluruh aspek baikorganisasi, sumber daya manusia, tata kelola, layanan, hingga fasilitas sarana danprasarana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasiapakah inklusivitas sudah diterapkan di PP-IPTEK atau belum, serta bagaimanaseharusnya agar PP-IPTEK menjadi science center yang inklusif. Maka ditemukanbahwa melalui perbaikan dan peningkatan kualitas maupun kuantitas seluruhaspek di PP-IPTEK serta dengan pendekatan universal design, PP-IPTEK akanmenjadi science center yang inklusif.

ABSTRACTAs an institution, PP-IPTEK still seem to be exclusive, while the socialorder has been a lot of changes by the impact of globalization created aninclusiveness. Then of course the exclusive situation like this is no longer relevantto the social changes that occurred, and became a threat to the survival of theinstitution given the function of science center that is closely associated with thesociety, that is as a communicator. Therefore a change in the direction of inclusiveis one perfect solution for PP-IPTEK. Inclusiveness is a social characteristic inthis era of globalization that demands the recognition and appreciation ofdiversity, openness, and togetherness in all aspects of both organizations, humanresources, governance, services, facilities and infrastructure to the facility. Thisstudy aims to identify and evaluate whether inclusiveness is applied in PP-IPTEKor not, and how should that PP-IPTEK into an inclusive science center. It wasfound that through the improvement and enhancement of quality and quantity inall aspects in PP-IPTEK as well as with the universal design approach, PP-IPTEKwill become an inclusive science center."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang konsep ekshibisi sebagai fungsi utama dalam Science Center sebagai salah satu sarana edukasi mengenai sains dan teknologi kepada masyarakat dan utamanya generasi muda. Lokasi penelitian adalah Pusat Peragaan Iptek (PP-IPTEK) yang bertempat di kawasan wisata Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis penelitian ini ditinjau dari sudut pandang teori museologi baru, Science Center dan pendidikan museum.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PP-IPTEK sejak awal pendiriannya sudah memfokuskan diri pada edukasi generasi muda dan masyarakatnya mengenai sains dan teknologi melalui aktivitas yang bersifat interaktif. Namun demikian, ekshibisi PP-IPTEK masih belum sepenuhnya menggunakan konsep Science Center dan museologi baru secara utuh. Masih ditemukan beberapa kelemahan dari segi visi-misi, struktur organisasi, kuratorial, tema ekshibisi, interaktifitas ekshibisi, informasi pameran, validasi ekshibisi dan sarana yang bersifat pendidikan lainnya. Hasil analisis tersebut digunakan untuk memperbaiki dan mengembangkan konsep ekshibisi PP-IPTEK sebagai sebuah Science Center.

This thesis discusses the concept of exhibitions as a major function in the Science Center. Exhibitions are one of the main tools for science and technology education for the community and particularly the younger generation. The research location is Pusat Peragaan Iptek (PP-IPTEK) which is located in the tourist area of ​​Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This study analyzes exhibitions from three theoretical approaches: new museology, science center museum education.The results show that since its establishment, PP-IPTEK has been focused on the education of young generation and the community concerning science and technology through interactive activities. Nevertheless, PP-IPTEK exhibitions are still not fully using the concept of the science center and new museology as well. There are some weaknesses were found in terms of vision, mission, organizational structure, curatorial, exhibition themes, interactivity of exhibitions, exhibition information, exhibition validation and other education tools. The results and analysis are used to improve and develop exhibition concept of PP-IPTEK as a science center."

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisa perilaku kunjungan berulang ke science center sebagai indikator ketertarikan masyarakat terhadap ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Pendekatan perilaku seperti aspek sosiodemografi / sosioekonomi, perilaku kunjungan di masa lalu, dan motivasi dan persepsi pengunjung digunakan untuk memprediksi peluang untuk berkunjung ulang dan memprediksi jumlah rata-rata kunjungan berulang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa science center perlu memberikan perhatian yang lebih besar kepada pengunjung rombongan atau keluarga yang datang di akhir pekan / hari libur, dengan cara meningkatkan kualitas content dan kemasan produk yang up to date, menarik dan menyenangkan terutama bagi anak kecil dan menerapkan strategi bundling untuk meningkatkan jumlah partisipasi pengunjung loyal ke science center.

ABSTRACTThis study analyzes the behaviour of repeat visitation to science center as an indication of community rsquo s interest in science and technology. Behavioural approaches such as sociodemographic socioeconomic aspects, past visit behaviour, and visitor 39 s motivation and perception are used to predict the chances for a repeat visit and the average number of repeat visits. The result shows that the science center needs to give more attention to visitors who visit as a group or family, that come on weekends or holidays by improving the content quality and product packaging to make them up to date, more interesting and fun especially for children, and applying bundling strategy to increase the number of loyal visitor rsquo s participation in the science center. "

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengidentifikasikan bahwa Pusat Peragaan Iptek dalam Konsep dan Program Edukasinya belum dapat menyentuh semua lapisan masyarakat. Hal ini disebabkan karena Konsep dan Program Edukasi Pusat Peragaan Iptek hanya dapat dipahami bagi orang yang mempunyai dasar sains. This thesis discusses the concept and Science Center Education Programs. Location of the study is Pusat Peragaan Iptek Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in Jakarta. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Results of this study indicated that Pusat Peragaan Iptek in Education Programs and Concept can not touch all levels of society. This is because the concept and Education Programs Pusat Peragaan Iptek can only be understood for people who have basic science. Pusat Peragaan Iptek must renew Concept and Education Programs in order to reach all levels of society."

"ABSTRAKTesis ini membahas tentang konsep partisipatoris yang dapat dikembangkan di Pusat Peragaan Iptek PP-IPTEK , Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada pergeseran paradigma museum yang semula berorientasi pada pelestarian koleksi menjadi museum yang berorientasi pada pengunjung yang sesuai dengan penerapan konsep Museologi Baru, dimana keterlibatan masyarakat sangat penting untuk diterapkan. Selain itu, pengunjung PP-IPTEK yang masih terbatas pada kelompok pelajar atau sekolah menjadi permasalahan mengapa penelitian ini dilakukan. Sebagai science center, PP-IPTEK perlu melakukan perubahan dan pengembangan layanan yang berorientasi pada kebutuhan pengunjung atau masyarakat. Untuk itu dibutuhkan suatu konsep keterlibatan masyarakat dalam kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh PP-IPTEK, sehingga masyarakat mempunyai peran yang lebih besar dan bukan hanya sebagai pengguna layanan saja, yakni peragaan dan program sains yang merupakan fokus pada penelitian ini. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui kajian pustaka, observasi lapangan dan diskusi terbatas dengan pakar science center dan museologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan konsep partisipatori yang dikemukakan oleh Nina Simon 2010 . Simon menggunakan 4 empat model partisipatori untuk pengembangan di museum, yakni Contributory, Collaborative, Co-creative dan Hosted. Keempat model tersebut memberikan ruang dan peran masyarakat di level yang berbeda. Dalam menerapkan keempat model ini, masyarakat dapat ikut menciptakan Create , berbagi pemikiran dan keterampilan Share bersama dengan museum dan partisipan lainnya dan mensosialisasikan apa yang telah didapat oleh mereka kepada teman lainnya Connect . Dalam menerapkan masing-masing model partisipatori, PP-IPTEK dapat memenuhi beberapa tujuan dari 5 lima tujuan yang akan dicapai, yakni: menarik dan mendidik pengunjung sekolah, menarik pengunjung umum, meningkatkan keterampilan dan inovasi pengunjung, meningkatkan keterlibatan stakeholder, dan mengumpulkan informasi atau masukan pengunjung. Diharapkan dengan diterapkannya konsep partisipatori di PP-IPTEK dapat meningkatkan citra dan kinerja layanan kedepannya.

ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the concept of participatory that can developed in science center Pusat Peragaan Iptek PP IPTEK , Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. This research is based on the paradigm shift of the originally museum oriented in the collection preservation into a visitor oriented museum in accordance with the application of the new museology concept, where the involvement of the community is very important to be applied. In addition, PP IPTEK visitors who are still limited by students or schools group is the problems of this research. As a science center, PP IPTEK needs changes and developing their services that are oriented to the needs of the visitors or public. Therefore, a concept of community involvement in PP IPTEK activities are required, so the community has a bigger roles and not just as a user, ie the exhibits and science program which are the focus of this research. The methodology of this research use qualitative approach through literature review, field observation and limited discussion with experts in science center and museology. This research use Nina Simon 2010 participatory concept for museum development, which are Contribution, Collaborative, Co creative and Hosted. The four participatory models provide space and big roles of the community at different levels. In applying these four participatory models, the community can create exhibits and public programs Create , share their ideas and skills together with museums and other participants Share and socialize what they learned to other friends Connect . In applying each participatory models, PP IPTEK can meet several objectives from 5 five objectives to be achieved, ie attracting and educating school visitors, attracting public visitors, improving visitor rsquo s skills and innovation, increasing stakeholder involvement, and collecting visitor information or input. Developing the participatory concept in PP IPTEK, it expected will improve PP IPTEK rsquo s image and services performance in the future. "

"Klinik Vocation Wellness Center Universitas Indonesia (VWC UI) merupakan klinik rehabilitasi medik yang berada di bawah naungan Program Studi Vokasi UI. Klinik VWC UI menghadapi permasalahan terkait kompleksitas proses bisnis dan dokumen rekam medis. Sistem yang ada saat ini belum bisa membantu tenaga kesehatan di VWC UI untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan terkait proses bisnis dan dokumen rekam medis (Perceived Usefulness). Upaya digitalisasi rekam medis yang sebelumnya pernah dilakukan pun belum dapat membuahkan hasil karena penggunaannya yang sulit (Perceived Ease of Use). Permasalahan kompleksitas dan risiko-risiko dari dokumen rekam medis yang masih berbentuk fisik menghambat dan mengurangi efisiensi pelaksanaan operasional klinik (Perceived Efficiency). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem informasi kesehatan untuk membantu klinik VWC UI dalam menghadapi permasalahan yang dialami. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Design Science Research (DSR) dalam pengembangannya. Tahapan DSR yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah awareness of problem, suggestion, development, evaluation, dan conclusion. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah proses pengelolaan layanan kesehatan klinik VWC UI yang lebih mudah dan efisien dari saat ini. Permasalahan dari klinik diidentifikasi dengan melakukan studi literatur, wawancara, observasi, dan analisis proses bisnis klinik saat ini. Dari temuan masalah, Sistem Informasi Klinik VWC UI dibuat sebagai usulan solusi. Pengembangan SIK ini dilakukan dengan metode prototyping, yang dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi kuesioner Usability Testing (UT), User Acceptance Test (UAT), dan evaluasi Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) dengan evaluasi kuantitatif tambahan. Pada evaluasi UAT, terdapat satu skenario yang tidak sukses dalam pengujiannya, yang selanjutnya diperbaiki sebelum pelaksanaan UAT responden lain. Tingkat pengalaman pengguna dari hasil evaluasi UT sudah baik terlihat dari rata-rata waktu pelaksanaan skenario yang singkat dan tingkat kesulitan skenario yang rendah. Kemudian, hasil evaluasi sistem secara keseluruhan dari instrumen PSSUQ dan kuantitatif tambahan secara berurutan adalah 1,75 dan 1,676. Hasil dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan dapat mendukung penyelesaian pekerjaan (Perceived Usefulness) dengan baik, memiliki fitur yang mudah dipahami (Perceived Ease of Use), dan meningkatkan efisiensi (Perceived Efficiency) operasional klinik.

Vocation Wellness Center Universitas Indonesia (VWC UI) is a medical rehabilitation clinic directly managed by The Vocational Education Program of Universitas Indonesia. The VWC UI clinic faces problems related to the complexity of business processes and medical record documents. The current system has not been able to help health workers at VWC UI to complete work related to business processes and medical record documents (Perceived Usefulness). Previous efforts to digitize medical records have not been able to produce results due to their difficult use (Perceived Ease of Use). Problems of complexity and risks from medical record documents that are still in physical form hinder and reduce the efficiency of clinic operations (Perceived Efficiency). This research aims to build a health information system to help the VWC UI clinic in dealing with the problems experienced. This research uses the Design Science Research (DSR) methodology in its development. Problems from the clinic were identified by conducting literature studies, interviews, observations, and analyzing the clinic's current business processes. From the problem findings, the VWC UI clinical information system was created as a proposed solution. The development of this clinical information system was carried out using the prototyping method, followed by Usability Testing (UT) evaluation, User Acceptance Test (UAT), and Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) evaluation with additional quantitative evaluation. There was one scenario that was not successful in the UAT which was subsequently corrected before conducting other respondents’. The UT result shows that the usability level is good as proven by the quick average completion time and the low scenario difficulty score. Then, the overall system evaluation scores from the PSSUQ and additional quantitative instruments are respectively 1.75 and 1.676. The results of this study proved that the developed system can support the completion of work (Perceived Usefulness) better, has features that are easy to use (Perceived Ease of Use), and increases the efficiency (Perceived Efficiency) of the clinic’s operations."
