ABSTRAKPenelitian ini membahas tentang nilai-nilai ajaran Hindu yang ada dan memengaruhi tema dalam cerpen Naneun Eumsikida karya Oh Soo Yeon. Cerpen ini menceritakan tentang masalah dalam hubungan antara seorang wanita dan dua orang pria bernama Damo dan Murat yang disebabkan oleh makanan dan kegiatan makan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode close reading dengan seluruh analisis yang merujuk pada teks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penulis menemukan nilai-nilai ajaran Hindu dalam cerpen ini yaitu Ahimsa, Karma Phala, dan Moksha, yang terkait erat dengan tokoh-tokoh dalam cerpen ini. Melalui analisis tersebut penulis menyimpulkan bahwa selain mengangkat tema tentang konflik yang disebabkan oleh perbedaan prinsip, Naneun Eumsikida juga mengangkat tema keagamaan
ABSTRACTThis study discussed about the values of Hinduism that exist and affected the theme of Naneun Eumsikida, a short story written by Oh Soo Yeon. This short story tells about the problem in the relationship between a woman and two men, Damo and Murat, caused by food and eating. This study used close reading method to analyze the entire text of the story. The writer found three of the values of Hinduism. They are Ahimsa, Karma Phala, and Moksha, and these values are closely related to the characters of the story. Through the analysis the writer came to a conclusion that beside the theme of a conflict caused by the differences in principles of life, Naneun Eumsikida also has the theme of religion."
