"Kritik sosial merupakan salah satu bentuk komunikasi yang biasanya berisi masukan, sanggahan, sindiran, tanggapan, atau penilaian terhadap sesuatu yang dinilai menyimpang atau melanggar nilai-nilai yang ada di kehidupan bermasyarakat. Kritik sosial ini disampaikan bukan hanya secara langsung, tetapi juga tidak langsung melalui karya sastra, salah satunya dalam bentuk lagu. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis menganalisis bentuk kritik sosial dalam dua buah lagu yang berjudul A Monster dan Mute yang keduanya berada dalam album bertajuk Daehanmingugeul Noraehanda. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan cara kritik sosial ditampilkan dalam kedua lirik lagu tersebut. Penulis menemukan bahwa meskipun kedua lagu menyampaikan kritik sosial dengan tema yang sama, tetapi salah satu lagu ternyata dilarang pemutarannya di media penyiaran Korea. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa kedua lirik lagu mencerminkan kritik pencipta lagu terhadap media Korea yang telah terdistorsi dan dikontrol oleh pihak tertentu. Kritik sosial tidak disampaikan secara gamblang melainkan secara tersirat dengan ungkapan- ungkapan sinisme dan sarkasme dalam liriknya.

Social criticism is a form of communication that usually contains input, refutation, satire, response, or assessment of something that is considered deviant or violates the values that exist in social life. This social criticism is conveyed not only directly, but also indirectly through literary works, one of which is in the form of songs. In this paper, the author analyzes the form of social criticism in two songs entitled A Monster and Mute, both of which are in the album titled Daehanmingugeul Noraehanda. This paper aims to describe the form and way of social criticism displayed in those two songs. It was found that even though the two songs conveyed social criticism with the same theme, one of the songs was banned from broadcasting in Korean broadcast media. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative method through a sociology of literature approach. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the two song lyrics reflect the songwriter's criticism of the Korean media which has been distorted and controlled by certain parties. Social criticism is not conveyed explicitly but implicitly with expressions of cynicism and sarcasm in the lyrics."

"ABSTRAKPenulisan sastra anak selalu bersifat didaktis dan mencerminkan nilai-nilai yang dianut pengarangnya. Penelitian ini membahas novel historis anak karangan Jacqueline Kelly yang berjudul The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate dan fokus pada upaya Kelly menyampaikan ideologi feminis dengan cara menulis ulang sejarah. Untuk sampai pada kesimpulan, pertama-tama penulis menganalisis penggambaran Calpurnia sebagai tokoh anak perempuan dengan nilai-nilai feminis dan keluarga Tate yang merefleksikan nilai-nilai gender tradisional di era Victoria. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pengarang memasukkan ideologi feminisnya dengan cara menghadirkan tokoh anak perempuan yang resistan terhadap peran gender tradisional yang diwakili oleh keluarga. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa pengarang setia pada genre historis. Ia tidak mengorbankan historisitas novel untuk mengakomodasi ideologinya, terlihat dari tokoh Calpurnia yang pada akhirnya tidak bisa keluar dari domestisitas yang menjadi nilai gender yang dijunjung oleh masyarakat Amerika era Victoria.

ABSTRACTThe writing of children rsquo s literature is always didactic and reflects the author rsquo s personal values. This research examines Jacqueline Kelly rsquo s children rsquo s historical novel The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate and focuses on Kelly rsquo s attempt to convey her feminist ideology by rewriting the history. In order to reach a conclusion, the researcher analyzes how Calpurnia is portrayed as a girl with feminist values and how the Tate family reflects traditional gender roles in the Victorian era. It is found that the author conveys her feminist ideology by presenting a girl character who is resistant to traditional gender roles represented by the family. This research also finds that the author is faithful to historical genre. Kelly does not sacrifice the novel rsquo s historicity to accommodate her ideology, proven by Calpurnia rsquo s character who, in the end, could not free herself from domesticity that was upheld by the Victorian American society."
