"Digital fabrication has been termed the “third industrial revolution”, and is promising to revolutionize many disciplines, including most recently the construction sector. Both academia and industry see immense promise in cementitious materials, which lend themselves well to additive manufacturing techniques for digital fabrication in construction. With this recent trend and high interest in this new research field, the 1st RILEM International Conference on Concrete and Digital Fabrication (Digital Concrete 2018) was organized.
Since 2014, ETH Zurich has been host for the Swiss National Centre for Competence in Research (NCCR) for Digital Fabrication in Architecture, which is highly interdisciplinary and unique worldwide. In 2018, this NCCR opened the “DFAB House”, which incorporates many digital fabrication principles for architecture. It is also responsible for the 600 m2 Robotic Fabrication Lab and the first robotically built roof in the world. Held in tandem with Rob|Arch 2018, the leading conference for robotics in architecture, RILEM deemed it the right time to combine forces at this new conference, which will be the first large conference to feature the work of the recently created RILEM Technical Committee on Digital Fabrication with Cement-based Materials, among other leaders in this new field worldwide.
This conference proceedings brings together papers that take into account the findings in this new area. Papers reflect the varying themes of the conference, including Materials, Processing, Structure, and Applications."

"Kinerja sistem manajemen K3 yang unggul juga hielibatkan perhatian pada faktor prang, faktor organisasi dan faktor behaviour Pendekatan integrasi K3 pada system manajemen perusahaan memasukan aspek manajemen SDM dalam penerapannya. Dengan demikian manajemen SDM menjadi bagian dari upaya manajemen K3 di perusahaan dalam rangka mencapai sasaran K3 secara umum. Program HRD dalam kompetensi SDM khususnya safety officer di proyek juga merupakan program pengendalian resiko K3 secara administratif dalam upaya menurunkan dan mencegah terjadinya kecelakaanlinsiden ditempat kerja, balk terhadap K3 maupun lingkungan.
Salah satu program pengendalian administratif pada kompetensi SDM adalah evaluasi jobdescription dan atau persyaratan lain yang terkait dengan tugas dan fungsi safety officer diproyek. Jobdescriplion merupakan cetak biru (blue print) dari harapan kinerja pada pemegang jabatan untuk acuan pelaksanaan kerja. Diharapkan tanggungjawab dan kewenangan yang diberikan tertulis dan dimengerti pemegang jabatan untuk melakukan tugas-tugasnya dan menghasilkan output yang diharapkan. Akan tetapi pada prakteknya di lapangan, jobdescription tersebut masih perlu diintreprctasikan ulang dan kebenarannya sangat tergantung pada pemaharnan dan kepentingan pengguna jobdescription tersebut. Unit-unit kerja menterjemahkan kembali dengan jobdescription masing-masing dan tidak standar. Perbedaan intrepretasi dapat membuat ketidakharmonisan sistem kerja yang pada akhirnya dapat membuat gangungan-gangguan dalarn proses manajemen perusahaan.
Tesis ini mengevaluasi uraian tugas safety officer korporat (2000) yang masih berlaku di PT XYZ saat penelitian ini dilakukan. Alat evaluasinya adalah kerangka kompetensi kerja yang diharapkan dari petugas K3 di proyek setingkat dengan first-line supervisor. Hal ini dilakukan karena belum ada evaluasi jobdescription dan analisa kompetensi kerja pads safety officer di PT XYZ.
Aspek yang dikaji adalah fungsi atau peran penting first-line supervisor K3 dan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan untuk dapat berperan dalam mencegah,menangani dan mengurangi terjadinya keceiakaan/insiden. Kajian ini menghasilkan kerangka kompetensi tugas safety officer berbasis kinerja aktual yang diharapkan. Dibahas jugs aspek-aspek persyaratan jabatan (job spesification) seperti pendidikan, pelatihan untuk safety officer sebagai bentuk input SDM dan pertimbangan dalam menentukan tugas first-line supervisor K3. Kerangka ini yang menjadi acuan untuk melakukan evaluasi jobdescription safety officer.

Integrated Occupational Safety & Health (USH) approach in company's management system includes Human Resource (HR) management aspects in implementation. Good performance of OSH management system also involves great attention to the human factor, organizational factor and behavioral factor. Therefore HR Management has become part of efforts conducted by OSH management in order to achieve OSH objectives. HR Department program which deal with HR Competency, especially for Project Safety Officer , is part of OSH administrative control program to reduce and prevent workplace incident/accident that lead to loss regarding to either OSH related or environmental related issues.
One methodology of administrative control program within HR competency is define a clear role and responsibility of a function or a job within work-system. Therefore there is a evaluation program to assess job description of Safety Officer in order to meet required work competency. Job description is a blue-print of expected job performance of the officer in order to do their duties. Management expects that by handing over written authority and responsibility. the officer will understand and running their duties accordingly to achieve desirable output. However in reality, the job description is required to be re-interpreted by the users, that leads to misunderstanding. individualize, non-standard job description. The difference in interpretation can lead to work system disharmony and creates disturbances in management practices. including employee satisfaction.
This thesis evaluates Corporate Safety Officer Job description (2000) at PT XYZ, against the work competency framework of a first-line supervisor level OSH officer. This is done due to no job description evaluation and work competency analysis has ever been conducted for safety officer at PT XYZ.
Aspect that is being analyzed mainly is the function and main role of first-line OSH supervisor, and competency required to be able to run the role in preventing, handling and reducing incident/accidents. This analysis will result in a performance based competency framework of the safety officer. Also being discussed in the thesis is the job specification aspects, such as education and training for safety officer, as an input and consideration to determining first-line OSH supervisor job. This framework will be a guideline to conduct an evaluation of safety officer job description.

"Penelitian ini mengkaji dinamika sosial dan ekonomi di Pabrik Gula Kalibagor, Banyumas, dengan menerapkan perspektif arkeologi industri dan teori Marxisme. Mulai diterapkannya sistem tanam paksa oleh Pemerintah Hindia Belanda pada tahun 1836 telah mengubah struktur ekonomi dan sosial di Jawa, khususnya dengan pendirian pabrik gula yang berbasis pada eksploitasi tenaga kerja lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana infrastruktur industri tebu dan pabrik gula berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi regional sekaligus menciptakan ketimpangan sosial antara kaum borjuis Eropa dan kaum proletar lokal. Melalui analisis artefak, dokumentasi historis, dan sisa-sisa material industri, penelitian ini menyelidiki bagaimana relasi antara majikan dan buruh di pabrik mencerminkan kondisi sosial yang lebih luas dan bagaimana prasarana produksi gula serta dokumentasi terkait pekerja mencerminkan dinamika ekonomi dan sosial masa itu. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan tidak hanya memberikan wawasan baru mengenai sejarah industri gula di Banyumas tetapi juga menyoroti pentingnya teknologi dan produksi material sebagai pendorong perubahan sosial dalam masyarakat.

This study examines the social and economic dynamics at the Kalibagor Sugar Factory in Banyumas by applying industrial archaeology perspectives and Marxist theory. The implementation of the forced cultivation system by the Dutch East Indies Government in 1836 significantly altered the economic and social structure in Java, particularly through the establishment of sugar factories based on the exploitation of local labor. This research aims to uncover how the infrastructure of the sugarcane industry and sugar factories contributed to regional economic growth while also creating social disparities between the European bourgeois and the local proletarians. Through the analysis of artifacts, historical documentation, and remnants of industrial materials, this study investigates how the relationship between employers and workers at the factory reflects broader social conditions and how the infrastructure of sugar production and related worker documentation reflect the economic and social dynamics of the time. The results of this research are expected to not only provide new insights into the history of the sugar industry in Banyumas but also highlight the importance of technology and material production as drivers of social change in society."

"ABSTRAK

PLTU Mantung merupakan pembangkit listrik bertenagakan uap pertama diAsia Tenggara. PLTU ini dibangun oleh pemerintah kolonial Belanda untuk meningkatkan hasil dari kegiatan penambangan timah di Belinyu. Kehadiran PLTU Mantung membawa banyak perubahan signifikan, tidak hanya pembaharuan mesin-mesin penambangan yang menggunakan uap sebagai sumber energi tetapi juga turut berperan dalam perekrutan pekerja tambang secara besar-besaran. Kehadiran PLTU Mantung tidak hanya membawa perubahan dari segi pembaharuan teknologi penambangan timah akan tetapi kegiatan penambangan timah tersebut pada akhirnya membentuk suatu pola kehidupan sosial, yang jika dikaji dari sudut pandang Marxisme ialah, kehidupan sosial antara majikan dan buruh. Pembagian kelas sosial tersebut terlihat dari pola tata letak bangunan serta pembagian wilayah yang diperuntukan bagi majikan dan buruh. Kehidupan sosial majikan dan buruh diteliti berdasarkan tinggalan-tinggalan arkeologis yang merepresentasikan dua golongan tersebut.


ABSTRACT

Mantung steam power plant is the first steam-powered plant in Southeast Asia. Mantung steam power plant was built by the Dutch Colonial government to improve the results of tin mining activities in Belinyu. The presence of Steam Power Plant Mantung bring many significant changes, not only the renewal of mining machines that use steam as an energy source but also played a role in the recruitment of mine workers on a large scale . The presence of Steam Power Mantung not only bring changes in terms of technology renewal tin mining but the tin mining eventually form a pattern of social life, which if examined from the standpoint of Marxism is, social life between owners and workers. The division of social class is evident from the pattern of the layout of the building and zoning that is intended for owners and workers. Social life by owners and workers researched by archaeological remains representing two classes.

"Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang hubungan industrial tanpa adanya serikat pekerja diperusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana hubungan industrial dan hubungan bipartit di PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan memiliki tujuan penelitian eksplanatif. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini dipilih berdasarkan masa kerja dari karyawan di perusahaan yang berbeda-beda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hubungan industrial dan hubungan bipartit di perusahaan dapat berjalan dengan baik tanpa adanya serikat pekerja.

This study describes the industrial relations in the absence of the company union. The purpose of this study is to explain how industrial relations and bipartite relations in PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk. This study used a explanative approach and has a descriptive research purposes. Interviewees in this study were selected based on different years of service of employees in companies. The results of this study indicate that the industrial relations and bipartite relations in the company can run smoothly without any union."

"Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas implementasi safety promotion pada pekerja di PT Lautan Otsuka Chemical Tahun 2012. Efektivitas pelaksanaan dilihat dari perbandingan angka kecelakaan antara tahun 2012 dengan tahun 2011. Kemudian diteliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi yaitu media, sifat pesan, jangkauan target, keterlibatan target dan keterlibatan pihak manajemen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan telaah dokumen pada unit informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi safety promotion telah efektif yang dipengaruhi oleh media, sifat pesan, jangkauan target, keterlibatan pekerja dan keterlibatan pihak manajemen. Selain itu, juga dipengaruhi oleh komitmen kontraktor, ketersediaan sarana pendukung program, sumber informasi dan kondisi target atau pekerja.

This research is qualitative research with descriptive design that aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of safety promotion of the workers in PT Lautan Otsuka Chemical in 2012. The effectiveness seen from the comparison of the accident rate between 2011 to 2012. Then, examined the factors that influenced is media, the message characteristic, the reach of target, the target involvement and the management involvement. Data was collected by observations, interviews, and documents review on the informan units. The result showed that the effective implementation of safety promotion has been influenced by the media, the message characteristic, the reach of target, the target involvement and the management involvement. In addition, it is also influenced by the commitment of the contractor, the availability of support programs, information sources and target or worker condition."
