"Suksesnya pendirian PG Colomadu oleh Mangkunegara IV mendorongnya untuk membangun Pabrik Gula Tasikmadu di tahun 1871, pembangunan ini diikuti dengan didirikannya fasilitas lain di sekitar pabrik berupa rumah dinas untuk para pegawai. Rumah dinas pegawai memiliki variasi bentuk dan ukuran serta komponen seperti jendela dan pintu. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan mengangkat permasalahan terkait adakah maksud dibalik beragamnya rumah yang tersebar di sekitar pabrik gula dan apakah dari peninggalan rumah tersebut dapat menunjukan atau merefleksikan kehidupan sosial para pegawai yang dulunya bekerja di PG Tasikmadu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah formulasi penelitian, implementasi penelitian, pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, analisis data, interpretasi data, dan publikasi hasil penelitian. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan analisis bentuk dan keruangan terhadap rumah pegawai. Hasil analisis menunjukan adanya tingkatan kelas sosial antar pegawai dan juga konflik serta kontrol sosial oleh pegawai kelas atas terhadap pegawai kelas bawah.

The success of establishing PG Colomadu by Mangkunegara IV encouraged him to build the Tasikmadu Sugar Factory in 1871, followed by the establishment of other facilities around the factory, such as official residences for the employees. These employee residences varied in form and size, as well as in components like windows and doors. Therefore, this research aims to address the question of whether there was a purpose behind the variety of houses scattered around the sugar factory and whether these residential relics can indicate or reflect the social life of the employees who once worked at PG Tasikmadu. The methodology used in this research includes research formulation, research implementation, data collection, data processing, data analysis, data interpretation, and publication of the research results. To answer these questions, an analysis of the form and spatial arrangement of the employee residences was conducted. The results of the analysis indicate the presence of social class distinctions among the employees, as well as conflicts and social control exerted by higher-class employees over lower-class employees."
