"Artikel ini menggambarkan representasi kota Moscow melalui foto-foto yang terdapat dalam komunitas Moscow in Picture yang berada di aplikasi media sosial VKontakte. Foto-foto tersebut terbagi menjadi empat ketegori foto berupa perayaan, pertunjukan, musim dan landscape. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan representasi identitas kota Moscow dalam foto-foto komunitas Moscow in Picture yang terdapat diaplikasi media sosial VKontakte. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengolahan data berupa empat kategori pada foto dan menggunakan teori semiotika Charles Sanders Peirces dalam penggambaran representasi identitas kota Moscow. Identitas kota Moscow dapat direpresentasikan melalui foto-foto dalam komunitas Moscow in Picture yang terdapat di aplikasi sosial media VKontakte. Hasil analisis menyimpulkan bahwa penggambaran representasi identitas kota Moscow dapat terlihat melalui perayaan, pertunjukan, musim dan lanscape pada foto-foto komunitas Moscow in Picture dalam media sosial VKontakte.

This article represent Moscow rsquo s identity in some pictures from 39 Moscow in Picture 39 , a community in VKontakte, a social media application. The picture collections are divided into four categories, which are landscape, seasons, celebration, and shows. The purpose of this research is to explain the representation of Moscow identity in the pictures from Moscow in Picture Community in VKontakte.

This research uses qualitative method by analyzing the data from the four categories of picture and uses semiotics theory by Charles Sanders Peirces in describing Moscow representation. The identity of Moscow can be reprsented through the pictures from Moscow in Picture Community in VKontakte social media.

The results of this analysis conclude that the representation of Moscow rsquo s identity can be seen through celebration, shows, seasons, landscape in the photos of community Moscow in Picture in social media VKontakte."

"This volume seeks to explain why democratization and military reforms stagnate in newly democratizing countries. The contributions blend historical, ideational, cultural and structural explanatory factors to analyze the trajectories of military reform in Indonesia and Nigeria, two major regional powers that share many structural commonalities.
