"ABSTRAKWanita, dalam budaya patriarki, dianggap sebagai jender yang harus pasif dan bergantung kepada pria. Hingga hari ini, Indonesia masih memeluk nilai-nilai patriarki, walaupun gagasan feminisme menjadi lebih lazim dalam peradaban kini. Sebuah riset yang disusun oleh lima mahasiswa dari Kelas Khusus Internasional Ilmu Komunikasi di Universitas Indonesia, yang berjudul 'Man Up and Ask!', mempersembahkan penjelajahan dalam posisi wanita dalam proses mengungkapkan perasaan mereka terhadap seseorang yang mereka sukai, dengan memakai konsep patriarki dan feminisme. Karya ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sebuah ulasan akademis mengenai riset tersebut yang memuat berbagai saran untuk perbaikan untuk kajian-kajian yang juga serupa di masa depan, dengan menggunakan referensi dari bermacam kajian yang sudah dipublikasi sebelumnya. Dari ulasan ini, dapat dikatakan bahwa ada banyak lingkup yang dapat diperbaiki dan juga bahwa para penulis riset tersebut telah menggunakan metode riset yang sesuai untuk menjawab pertanyaan riset mereka.ABSTRAKWomen, in patriarchal cultures, are considered the gender that should be passive and dependant on men. Indonesia until today is still embracing the patriarchal values in the society, although the idea of feminism is becoming more familiar. A research written by five students from the International Program of Communication at the University of Indonesia, titled ldquo Man Up and Ask rdquo , presents exploration on the position of women in the process of expressing feelings towards someone of interest in accordance to patriarchy and feminism. This paper is aimed to provide an academic review to the research that includes suggestions for improvements for similar future studies on gender by using references from other previously published works. From this review, it is safe to assert that there are many areas of improvements that could be made and that the authors have utilised the appropriate research method to answer their research questions. "

"Kelahiran De Vijftigers pada pertengahan abad ke-20 memunculkan beberapa nama penulis baru, salah satunya adalah Remco Campert. Sebagai salah satu penulis besar Belanda, sudah banyak karya Remco Campert yang melegenda, salah satunya roman Een Liefde in Parijs 2004 . Roman tersebut bercerita tentang perjalanan Richard Sanders ke Paris, pertemuannya dengan seorang perempuan membuat dirinya terjebak dalam pencarian ingatan masa lalu yang telah terhapus. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan perkembangan karakter dalam roman Een Liefde in Parijs. Dalam penelitian ini dibahas mengenai tokoh dan penokohan yang hadir dalam cerita ini yang kemudian difokuskan pada analisis kepribadian yang dimiliki oleh tokoh utama, Richard Sanders. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara ayah Richard dengan Richard memiliki banyak sumbangsih terhadap kepribadiannya.

The birth of De Vijftigers in the middle of 20th century has brought a few new authors, one of them is Remco Campert. As one of the greatest authors in the Netherlands, some of Campert rsquo;s work are already have the legendary status, including a novel called Een Liefde in Parijs 2004 . This roman tells about Richard Sanders rsquo; journey in Paris. A meeting with a girl makes him trapped in a situation where he had to find his old forgotten memory. This research is qualitative research with literary study. It aims to explain the character development in Een Liefde in Parijs. In this research the characterization of the main character that is presented in the text will be examined using personality analysis. The result shows that the relationship between the main character and his father has a significant influence in his personality development."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai peran salah satu produk hiburan Korea Selatan berupa tayangan variety show, yakni “Running Man”, dalam menyebarkan budaya Korea melalui tayangannya, serta pengaruh tayangan tersebut terhadap wawasan penontonnya terkait budaya Korea. Guna meningkatkan kegemaran masyarakat mancanegara akan Korea, pemerintah Korea Selatan terus menggadang-gadang hallyu sebagai alat kebijakan diplomasi budaya mereka. “Running Man”, sebagai produk industri hiburan yang juga bagian dari hallyu, turut berperan menjadi kendaraan dalam diplomasi budaya Korea Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran tayangan variety show “Running Man” sebagai produk hiburan dalam menyebarkan budaya Korea dan juga kaitannya dengan diplomasi budaya Korea Selatan. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa studi pustaka dan pendekatan kuantitatif berupa penyebaran kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa “Running Man” berperan dalam penyebaran budaya Korea melalui permainan dan misi yang dijalankan, serta memengaruhi wawasan penontonnya terkait budaya Korea.

This study discusses the role of one of South Korea's entertainment products in the form of variety shows, namely “Running Man”, in spreading Korean culture through its shows, as well as the influence of these shows on the audience's insight regarding Korean culture. In order to increase the international community's fondness for Korea, the South Korean government continues to look to hallyu as a tool for their cultural diplomacy policy. “Running Man”, as a product of the entertainment industry that is also part of hallyu, also plays a role as a "vehicle" in South Korean cultural diplomacy. This study aims to explain the role of the variety show “Running Man” as an entertainment product in spreading Korean culture and also its relation to South Korean cultural diplomacy. To answer the research questions, the author uses a qualitative method in the form of a literature study and a quantitative approach in distributing questionnaires. The result shows that “Running Man” plays a role in spreading Korean culture through games and missions, and influences the audience's insight into Korean culture."

"ABSTRAKJurnal ilmiah ini membahas mengenai identitas budaya dari tokoh utama roman ldquo;Einmal Hans mit scharfer So e rdquo; karya Hatice Aky n dengan menggunakan pendekatan Hermeneutik Interkultural. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada bab keempat dalam buku ini yaitu bab Reise ins Land der M tter. Dengan menggunakan konsep Blickwinkel dan teori identitas budaya dari Stuart Hall, penulis menganalisis mengenai bagaimana perjalanan tokoh utama dalam roman ldquo;Einmal Hans mit scharfer So e rdquo; menuju tempat dia di lahirkan di Turki pada umur 13 tahun, mempengaruhi pembentukan identitas budayanya. Lewat pengalamannya mengunjungi Turki ini, tokoh Ich menemukan bahwa negara Turki dan budayanya merupakan salah bagian besar di dalam identitas budayanya. Budaya Turki ini berjalan beriringan dengan budaya Jerman yang dia dapat dan dia anggap sebagai suatu kekayaan di dalam dirinya.

Using the Blickwinkel theorie and Cultural Identity concept by Stuart hall, this journal analyze the impact of main character journey to her birth place in Turkey to her cultural identity. Through her journey to Turkey. The main character finds out that Turkey and its culture play a big role in her cultural identity. This turkish culture is going along with the german culture she lives within and considered as richness in her life. "

"ABSTRAKThe purpose of this study was to find out the Banjar papadah along with cultural values they have. Banjar papadah can be used to revitalize the noble values of the nation and the relevance of the cultural noble values in Banjar papadah with social life at this time. The research problems are: 1) Banjar papadah along with the cultural values they have where Banjar papadah can be used to revitalize the noble values of the nation; 2) Are the cultural noble values in Banjar papadah still relevant to the life of society today. The study used a qualitative descriptive methodology with library research technique. Based on the analysis, it can be obtained that Banjar papadah-papadah related to human problems as individual, social in the nation and state. They have the cultural noble values that can be used as a reference and guidelines, and those papadah-papadah are still very relevant to the social life and the nation at this time."
