ABSTRACT
This research is aimed to find out a comparison of personality as well as
mental health between musicians and non-musicians. The personality was
measured using The Mini-IPIP as the instrument, while the mental health was
measured using Mental Health Inventory 5 (MHI-5). The research involved a total
of 679 participants, consisted of 388 musicians and 341 non-musicians. Musicians
in this research are defined as the individuals who have had experience in music of
at least 10 years, play the musical instruments regularly, and have received
education and or training in music. On the other hand, non-musicians are
individuals who have never received education or training in music, and are not
capable of playing either the musical instruments or reading music. The result
shows that the musicians have lower neuroticism in terms of personality (Sig.=
0.006), but higher openness to experience (Sig.= 0.002). On the contrary, in terms
of the mental health, the musicians have higher score on than the non-musicians
(Sig.= 0.00)."

Mental health problems occur in 15% to 22% of children and adolescents, but who get the treatment amount is less than 20% (Keys, 1998). Teacher is the most responsible person for child’s phsycological and character development in school. This thesis aims to determine the relationship between sociodemographic background, knowledge, and attitudes of teacher with teacher treatments towards students with mental health disordes at SD I Al Azhar 1 Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta in 2011. This is a quantitative research with non-experimental design. This study found that variable related is between number of children with teacher treatments towards students with mental disordes. This study suggests, pre and post education and training for teachers in terms of recognition, monitoring, and treatment of mental health in children should be held."

Setelah simple random sampling, data yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24 for Mac.

Introduction: COVID-19 has brought about tremendous changes that affect many aspects including the mental health of preclinical medical students, who have been one of the most vulnerable groups to psychosocial changes even before the pandemic. Amongst those changes, sleep might be one of the most important factors as it is physiologically correlated with mental states through various pathways. In Indonesia specifically, there has been no study which explains this relationship in the preclinical medical students. Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted involving 285 preclinical medical students across Indonesia. After simple random sampling, data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24 for Mac. General mental health was assessed using General Health Questionnaire-12 (GHQ-12), while the sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Analysis of association between these scores employed Chi-square statistics, while correlations between domains were investigated through Spearman’s rank-order correlation coefficient.
Results: The proportion of Indonesian preclinical medical students who experience psychosocial disturbances was 96.5%, while those experiencing sleep disturbances was as high as 61.8%. Significant association was discovered between poor sleep quality and psychosocial disturbance (OR=3.96; p=0.04). Weak correlations were found between general mental health and subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, and daytime activity dysfunction domains of PSQI. The strongest correlation between domains existed between daytime activity dysfunction and social dysfunction.
Conclusion and recommendation: This study revealed significant association between poor sleep quality and psychosocial disturbance. Thus, more attention should be allocated in order to improve sleep quality, and hence mental health, of preclinical medical students in the current pandemic. Further studies are recommended to strengthen the evidence and explore other factors that might affect the mental health of preclinical medical students.

"Remaja mengalami gangguan mental emosional sebanyak 4.3%, namun pelayanan kesehatan jiwa disekolah belum menjadi prioritas.

Adolescents experience mental emotional disorders as much as 4.3%, but mental health services in schools have not become a priority. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of promotive and preventive models in improving mental health in adolescents. This study uses an operational research design which consists of 3 stages, namely the first stage of quantitative and qualitative studies, the second stage of model development, and the third stage of a quantitative study of quasi experiment pre-post test with control group in junior high school adolescents. The results showed that most of the adolescents had high emotional, psychological and social well-being, but 53.20% had prodromal symptoms. Adolescents have risk factors (peer problems and problems that come from within), protective factors (adolescents try to overcome problems with their own abilities and family support in adolescent development), and efforts to provide adolescent mental health services (teachers understand the needs of adolescents and health centers provide education, monitor and receive referrals). The P2KJ model intervention, prosocial abilities, emotional problems affect adolescent mental health. Recommendations for using the P2KJ model to improve adolescent mental health by implementing school mental health efforts (UKJS). The involvement of school nurses, teachers, parents is needed so as to form a good support system on an ongoing basis in maintaining the physical, psychological and social health of adolescents at school."
