"ABSTRACTThe purpose of this thesis is to analyze capital ownership structure and the position of business groups in Indonesia by the use of a company data file the author compiled, and through the analysis, to describe the development path and the changing nature of Indonesian business groups. In line with this purpose, first of all, the background and the scope of this study is defined in Chapter 1, where I stress the importance of micro-economic studies in Indonesia. Chapter 2 is devoted to analysis of capital ownership structure in the Indonesian national economy. First, I introduce my company data file as one of the best sources of company analyses, and clarify its significance and limitations(2.2). Then, I describe overall capital ownership structure and prove that domestic private capital constitutes the most significant component in the national economy(2.3). The next section (2.4) focuses on the position of business groups by two measures, that is, their total equity capital accumulated during the last two decades and the scale of present economic activities. Further, I compare the results with some cases of other developing economies and draw implication that Indonesian business groups have developed conspicuously but the level is still less than the upper levels in the international perspective. Lastly, I close this Chapter with some combined conclusions with the results from other data sources (2.5). Chapter 3 is a historical illustration of the development process of Indonesian business groups. The period from 1967 to 1986 is divided into three sub-periods, and the environmental conditions and reactions of business groups are described with some examples. Throughout the period, I set the analytical focus on development strategies of business groups, and find a consistent tendency that business groups which much depended on exogenous growth factors have come to exhibit endogenous growth abilities, with rationalizing their group formation (3.4.3). In the last chapter, I examine findings from the above two chapters, through analysis of new development of business groups after deregulation. I attempt two reexaminations ; one is concerning obvious irrelevance of the patronage framework where business groups are viewed from political connection (4.1.2), and the other is concerning the still consistent changing nature of business groups, which suggests that the recent performance of business groups should be viewed in the historical perspective. Lastly, by discussing the recent conglomerate controversy, I clarify my conclusion : business resources accumulated in business groups and their actualized merits at present must be effectively utilized for the future development in Indonesia. "

Jika biaya operasional dapat diminimalkan, UMKM akan mampu mengalokasikan anggaran untuk mengembangkan potensi lain dalam sebuah bisnis, misalnya membuat unit bisnis lebih luas, Dalam mengembangkan perusahaan lebih lanjut atau bahkan dalam usaha kecil/mikro, kinerja untuk mendapatkan laba bersih lebih banyak, sangat perlu memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang manajemen di sejumlah bidang, salah satu yang penting adalah biaya operasional dan biaya manajemen. Berlokasi di kota Bekasi, Peternakan telur bebek Bapak Surya tergolong usaha kecil/mikro dengan kegiatan usaha intinyamemproduksi dan membudidayakan telur bebek. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik business coaching dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam pengumpulan data untuk memetakan kondisi eksisting dan deteksi masalah pada UMKM ini dalam rangka pengembangan dan implementasi solusi perbaikan. Empat nomor masalah yang ditemukan ditunjukkan dengan biaya operasional harian yang tinggi dan laba bersih yang kecil. Solusi dari permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan memaksimalkan potensi UMKM, prosedur operasional yang seragam, dan mencari pakan pengganti untuk itik petelur. Tujuan utama dari pembinaan usaha ini yaitu menekan biaya operasional. Efisiensi operasional mampu menghasilkan keuntungan yang lebih besar untuk memperoleh laba bersih yang lebih banyak dalam Usaha Peternakan Telur Itik UMKM ini.

Among all size categorized and classification of enterprises ranging from micro, small and The large enterprises, Indonesia has the potential in MSMEs due to its large growth of economic Trend and surplus of its population. For accommodate this benefit, especially in product of raw materials enterprises, the business unit needs to have good holistic performance operational cost efficiency. If the cost could be decreased the MSME could handle the budget for taking care of another different potential, for example make the business even broader, In further developing the company or even in small/micro business, performance for gaining more net-profit, very necessary to have well sense of management in numbers of major areas, one of the important in operational cost and area of management.

Located city of Bekasi, Mr. Surya Duck egg farming categorized as small/micro sized enterprise with its core business activities in producing and farming duck egg. This study uses business coaching techniques utilizing qualitative method as data collection to mapping existing condition and problems detection of this SMME in order to development and implement solutions of improvement. Four number problems found indicated by high cost of daily operational and small net profit. The solution for these problems is maximizing MSME potential, uniformed operational procedure, and find substitutive feed for the duck itself. The main goal for this business coaching, more decreasing in operational cost due to operational efficiency then make profit as much as could for gaining more lot of net profit in this SMME duck egg farming Business"

"Tesis ini membahas tentang business coaching yang dilakukan penulis selaku coach terhadap Syafitri Gallery, sebuah UMKM yang memproduksi pakaian bordir dengan nuansa etnik Indonesia. Tujuan coaching ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model bisnis Syafitri Gallery dengan membuat perumusan standar profit formula dan menambahkan media promosi berupa website guna meningkatkan kinerja penjualannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah analisis data kualitatif. Pada akhir periode pelaksanaan business coaching, UMKM telah memiliki standar profit formula yang terdiri dari standard costing per unit dan pengunaan cost volume profit analysis untuk mengetahui titik impas dan mencapai target laba. Selain itu, Syafitri Gallery sudah memiliki desain website akan tetapi belum diluncurkan. Keberhasilan strategi pengembangan bisnis terhadap kinerja penjualan belum dapat diukur.

This thesis is a business coaching conducted by the author as a coach to Syafitri Gallery, an SME that produces clothes with Indonesia ethnic embroidered. The purpose of this study is to improve the SME?s businesss model by standard profit formulation and improvement of promotion media in form of website to increase sales performance. Method used in this thesis is qualitative data analysis. At the end of business coaching, SME has sucessfully found standard profit formulation which are consist of standard costing of unit cost and appliance cost volume profit analysis to determine break even point and achieve the target profit. Moreover, Syafitri Gallery already has a web design but has not launched yet. Business development strategy success of sales performance is not able to be measured yet."
