"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat perbandingan kepribadian dan
kesehatan mental pada musikus dan nonmusikus. Pengukuran terhadap kepribadian
dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen The Mini-IPIP dan kesehatan mental
diukur dengan menggunakan Mental Health Inventory 5 (MHI-5). Penelitian ini
melibatkan 679 partisipan yang terdiri dari 338 musikus dan 341 nonmusikus.
Adapun musikus yang dimaksud merupakan individu dengan pengalaman bermusik
setidaknya 10 tahun, dapat memainkan instrumen musik dan membaca partitur,
berkegiatan musik secara rutin, serta pernah mendapatkan edukasi atau pelatihan
musik. Sedangkan, nonmusikus yang dimaksud merupakan individu yang tidak
pernah mendapatkan edukasi atau pelatihan musik, tidak mampu memainkan
instrumen dan atau membaca partitur. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa dari
segi kepribadian musikus memiliki neuroticism yang rendah (Sig.= 0.006) dan
openness to experience yang tinggi dibandingkan dengan musikus (Sig.= 0.002).
Sedangkan, dalam hal kesehatan mental musikus memiliki kesehatan mental yang
lebih baik dibandingkan dengan nonmusikus (Sig.= 0.00).

ABSTRACT
This research is aimed to find out a comparison of personality as well as
mental health between musicians and non-musicians. The personality was
measured using The Mini-IPIP as the instrument, while the mental health was
measured using Mental Health Inventory 5 (MHI-5). The research involved a total
of 679 participants, consisted of 388 musicians and 341 non-musicians. Musicians
in this research are defined as the individuals who have had experience in music of
at least 10 years, play the musical instruments regularly, and have received
education and or training in music. On the other hand, non-musicians are
individuals who have never received education or training in music, and are not
capable of playing either the musical instruments or reading music. The result
shows that the musicians have lower neuroticism in terms of personality (Sig.=
0.006), but higher openness to experience (Sig.= 0.002). On the contrary, in terms
of the mental health, the musicians have higher score on than the non-musicians
(Sig.= 0.00)."

"Mahasiswa yang berada pada fase dewasa muda rentan mengalami masalah kesehatan mental ketika ia sulit mencapai tugas perkembangannya. Faktor lingkungan, riwayat keluarga, pengalaman hidup, kesehatan fisik, self-efficacy, perubahan hormonal, serta faktor biologis dapat menjadi penyebab individu mengalami gangguan kesehatan mental. Kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual yang rendah dapat menjadi faktor individu mengalami gangguan kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional, kecerdasan spiritual, dan kesehatan mental khususnya pada mahasiswa yang sedang berada pada fase dewasa muda. Penelitian ini sudah dilakukan uji etik oleh komite etik Fakultas Ilmu Keperawatan Universitas Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif korelatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional menggunakan metode probability sampling dengan teknik simple random sampling pada 259 mahasiswa di Fakultas Ilmu Keperawatan Universitas Indonesia yang berada pada rentan usia 18-25 tahun. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu kuesioner Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form untuk kecerdasan emosional, kuesioner The Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory-24 untuk kecerdasan spiritual, dan kuesioner Mental Health Inventory untuk kesehatan mental. Hasil dari penelitian ini menggambarkan 79,9% mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kecerdasan emosi sedang, dan 54,1% mahasiswa memiliki tingkat kecerdasan spiritual sedang. Adapun untuk kesehatan mental, sebanyak 56,4% mahasiswa memiliki kesehatan mental baik. Hasil analisis diperoleh nilai p = 0,001 (𝛼 = 0,05), sehingga dapat dibuktikan bahwa adanya hubungan antara ketiga variabel. Kecerdasan emosional dan kesehatan mental memiliki hubungan yang kuat, sedangkan kecerdasan spiritual degan kesehatan mental memiliki hubungan lemah. Melalui penelitian ini, diharapkan institusi pendidikan dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual agar bisa mencapai kesehatan mental yang sangat baik.

Students in the young adult phase are vulnerable to experiencing mental health problems when they have difficulty achieving their developmental tasks. Environmental factors, family history, life experiences, physical health, self-efficacy, hormonal changes, and biological factors can contribute to individuals experiencing mental health disorders. Low emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence may be an individual factors experiencing mental health disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and mental health, especially in students who are in the young adult phase. This research has been ethically tested by the ethics committee of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia. The used method in this research is descriptive correlative quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach using probability sampling method with simple random sampling technique on 259 students at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia within the age range of 18-25 years old. The research instruments used in this study were the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form for emotional intelligence, The Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory-24 questionnaire for spiritual intelligence, and the Mental Health Inventory questionnaire for mental health. The results of this study illustrate that 79.9% of students have a moderate level of emotional intelligence, and 54.1% of students have a moderate level of spiritual intelligence. As for mental health, 56.4% of students have good mental health. The results of the analysis obtained a value of p = 0.001 (𝛼 = 0.05), so it can be proven that there is a relationship between the three variables. Emotional intelligence and mental health have a strong relationship, while spiritual intelligence and mental health have a weak relationship. Through this research, we hope that educational institutions can help students to improve their emotional and spiritual intelligence to achieve excellent mental health."
