"Tugas Karya Akhir ini membahas pola­ pembunuhan yang menempatkan anak sebagai pelaku pada dalam 12 tahun terakhir (2007 hingga 2018). Pola tersebut dilihat dengan menggunakan konsep expressive killing dan instrumental killing melalui atribut-atribut yang melekat pada pembunuhan yaitu motif pelaku, usia pelaku, usia korban, jenis kelamin pelaku, jenis kelamin korban, waktu dan tempat terjadinya pembunuhan, pemaknaan alat yang digunakan, aksi tunggal atau berkelompok, dan kedekatan pelaku dengan korban dari kasus pembunuhan. Pada tulisan ini terdapat 64 kasus pembunuhan yang dilakukan oleh anak yang diperoleh dari analisis isi terhadap media berita daring. Sebagai suatu bentuk kejahatan, pembunuhan yang dilakukan oleh anak memiliki kecenderungan-kecenderungan membentuk sebuah pola yang dapat dikaji secara kriminologis. Pemahaman mengenai pola pada kasus ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbangan bagi pihak-pihak terkait yang ada di Indonesia untuk melakukan tindakan pencegahan untuk kasus serupa.

This thesis examines the patterns of murder that committed by children which occured in the last 12 years (2007-2018). The pattern is seen by using the concept of expressive killing and instrumental killing through motives, the age of the perperator(s), the age of the victim, the sex of the perperator(s), the sex of the victim, time and place when the murder occured, meaning off the tool(s) that help the murder occured, sole perperator or committed by group and relation between perperator(s) and victim. In this thesis, 64 cases of murder found in online media by analyze its contents. As a form of crime, these murders has tendencies that create some patterns which can be analyzed criminologically. Understanding the patterns of these cases is expected to be a consideration for Indonesia's related stakeholder to take precautions for similiar cases."
