"Perawatan paliatif adalah pendekatan layanan kesehatan yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara pengetahuan perawat tentang perawatan paliatif dan sikap perawat terhadap pasien dengan penyakit terminal di Dr. RSUPN. Ciptomangunkusumo, Jakarta. Ini adalah penelitian survei deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain Cross Sectional yang melibatkan semua perawat di bangsal penyakit terminal. Analisis menemukan bahwa ada 148 perawat dengan pengetahuan baik (91,9%) dan 87 perawat dengan sikap baik (54%). Juga, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada korelasi yang signifikan (nilai p = 0,070) antara tingkat pengetahuan perawat dan sikap mereka terhadap pasien dengan penyakit terminal.

Palliative care is a health care approach that can improve the quality of life of patients and families. This study aims to investigate the relationship between nurses knowledge about palliative care and nurses attitudes towards patients with terminal illnesses at Dr. RSUPN. Ciptomangunkusumo, Jakarta. This is a quantitative descriptive survey research with Cross Sectional design involving all nurses in terminal disease wards. The analysis found that there were 148 nurses with good knowledge (91.9%) and 87 nurses with good attitude (54%). Also, the results showed that there was no significant correlation (p value = 0.070) between the level of nurses' knowledge and their attitudes towards patients with terminal illness."

"Perawatan paliatif adalah perawatan untuk semua pasien khususnya yang berada pada keadaan terminal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang sejauh mana persepsi dan sikap mahasiswa keperawatan terhadap perawatan paliatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 116 orang yang terdiri dari mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Indonesia sebanyak 56 orang, sedangkan sampel dari mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Airlangga sebanyak 60 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa keperawatan terhadap perawatan paliatif adalah baik. Sikap mahasiswa keperawatan terhadap perawatan paliatif adalah baik. Kurikulum yang berbasis mata ajar atau praktik perlu ditingkatkan agar sikap mahasiswa terhadap perawatan paliatif lebih baik.

Palliative care is the care suited for all patients, especially those who are in the state of terminal. The purpose of this research was to obtain the understanding perception of nursing students and their attitudes towards palliative care. This study used a descriptive design with a purposive sampling method. The sample used in this study amounted to 116 people, consisting of nursing students from University of Indonesia as many as 56 people, as well as samples of nursing students from University of Airlangga as many as 60 people. The results showed that the perception of the nursing students towards palliative care is good. The attitude of the nursing students towards palliative care is good. Practical curriculum-based teaching needs to be improved in order to improve the attitude of students towards palliative care."

"Model perawatan paliatif berbasis rumah dipromosikan dengan argumen bahwa kebanyakan pasien memilih untuk perawatan di rumah, tapi faktanya beberapa keluarga menolaknya. Keluarga berkeinginan anggota keluarganya yang menderita kanker stadium terminal untuk tetap dirawat di rumah sakit Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan pengalaman keluarga pasien kanker dalam pengambilan keputusan perawatan paliatif berbasis rumah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan fenomenologi. Data diambil dari wawawancara mendalam 10 anggota keluarga pasien kanker stadium terminal. Setelah data di analisis, diekstraksi maka diklasifikasikan ke dalam 5 tema sebagai berikut: 1 Keluarga memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan yang terbatas dalam melakukan perawatan paliatif di rumah, 2 keinginan untuk tetap dirawat di rumah sakit, 3 Keluarga tidak mendapatkan informasi terkait kondisi penyakit sebenarnya dan perawatan di rumah, 4 Harapan keluarga terhadap dukungan dari dokter dan perawatan di rumah yang mendukung perawatan anggota keluarganya, 5 kepasrahan keluarga kepada dokter dalam pengambilan keputusan perawatan paliatif di rumah..Tenaga kesehatan profesional dan penyedia layanan kesehatan diharapakan lebih sadar dan mendukung keluarga untuk dapat sukses merawat pasien di rumah. Home based models of palliative care are promoted with the argument that most patients prefer to care at home but the family reject it. Family desire to keep treated at hospital.The purpose of this study was to describe experiences of family decisions to provide home based palliative care in Indonesia. This research was a qualitative research using phenomenology approach method. Data taken from participant in depth interviews with 10 family members terminal cancer.
