Pemeriksaan parameter hematologi telah banyak dilakukan pada subjek terkonfirmasi COVID-19 dengan metode RT-PCR tetapi belum banyak dilakukan pada subjek yang mengikuti Rapid Test antibodi sehingga perlu diteliti lebih lanjut. Studi ini meninjau gambaran monosit darah pada populasi mahasiswa dari daerah dengan transmisi lokal dan riwayat kontak. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis jumlah monosit dalam pemeriksaan darah rutin yang dibandingkan dengan hasil Rapid Test antibodi untuk mendukung interpretasi hasil Rapid Test antibodi. Data penelitian diperoleh dari 40 mahasiswa Asrama Universitas Indonesia yang mengikuti Rapid Test antibodi di Klinik Makara UI. Hasil Rapid Test antibodi seluruh subjek penelitian adalah nonreaktif. Seluruh parameter hematologi pada pemeriksaan darah rutin menunjukkan keadaan yang normal terlihat dari rerata seluruh parameter yang berada pada rentang nilai normal (Hemoglobin pada laki-laki; 14,45 ± 1,12 g/dL; Hemoglobin pada perempuan; 12,22 ± 0,83 g/dL; Eritrosit pada laki-laki; 5,29 ± 0,49x1012/L; Eritrosit pada perempuan; 4,49 ± 0,380x1012/L; Leukosit: 7,16 ± 0,59x109/L; Trombosit: 221,60 ± 38,381x109/L). Rerata jumlah monosit populasi subjek adalah 0,60 ± 0,49x109/L dan berada pada rentang nilai normal (0,1—0,8x109/L) sebagaimana pada subjek dengan infeksi COVID-19 yang tidak mengalami perubahan jumlah monosit. Terdapat 5 subjek dengan jumlah monosit yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan jumlah monosit didukung dengan jumlah leukosit terdapat indikasi infeksi COVID-19 pada populasi subjek penelitian yang berada pada tahap awal dan menunjukkan prognosis yang baik dan tidak bergejala.

Examination of haematological parameters has been widely carried out on subjects with confirmed COVID-19 using the RT-PCR method but not many have been carried out on subjects who take the rapid antibody test, so it needs to be investigated further. This study examines the profile of blood monocytes in a student population from an area with local transmission and contact history. The purpose of the study was to analyze the number of monocytes in routine blood tests compared with the results of the rapid antibody test to support the interpretation of the rapid antibody test’s result. Research data was obtained from 40 students of Asrama UI who took the rapid antibody test at the Klinik Makara UI. The results of the rapid antibody test of all research subjects were non-reactive. All haematological parameters on routine blood examination showed normal conditions as seen from the average of all parameters that were in the normal range (Haemoglobin in men; 14.45 ± 1.12 g/dL; Hemoglobin in women; 12, 22 ± 0.83 g/dL; Erythrocytes in men; 5.29 ± 0.49x1012/L; Erythrocytes in women; 4.49 ± 0.380x1012/L; Leukocytes: 7.16 ± 0.59x109/L ; Platelets: 221.60 ± 38.381x109/L). The mean number of monocytes in the subject population was 0.60 ± 0.49x109/L and was in the normal range (0.1—0,8x109/L) as in subjects with COVID-19 infection who did not experience changes in monocyte counts. There were 5 subjects with high monocyte counts. Based on the results of the examination of the number of monocytes and supported by the number of leukocytes, there are indications of COVID-19 infection in the population of research subjects who are in the early stages and show a good prognosis and are asymptomatic.
