Salah satu fungsi pokok dari Puskesmas (Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat) adalah sebagai pusat pembangunan berwawasan kesehatan khususnya bagi masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar fasilitas kesehatan tersebut. Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 74 tahun 2016, Apoteker memiliki peran penting dalam memberikan informasi terkait obat kepada tenaga kesehatan lain, pasien, dan/atau masyarakat baik melalui komunikasi langsung ataupun komunikasi dengan menggunakan media tertentu. Beyond Use Date (BUD), merupakan batas waktu pengunaan obat sejak obat pertama kali dibuka, diracik, atau dilarutkan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Cokro, et al. (2021) menyebutkan bahwa pemahaman masyarakat kota Jakarta terkait BUD masih rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peran media Audio Visual (AV) dalam memberikan edukasi terkait BUD obat kepada warga Kecamatan Cakung. Edukasi mengenai BUD dilakukan dengan pengunggahan video ke kanal youtube dan pemahaman warga Cakung terkait materi dilihat berdasarkan jawaban kuosioner yang disebarkan melalui media googleform. Dari 12 responden yang telah menyaksikan video edukasi tersebut, sebagian besar telah memahami terkait informasi BUD obat, sedangkan sebagian kecil masih belum memahaminya. Walaupun jumlah responden belum bisa merepresentasi data sesungguhnya, namun penyuluhan BUD dengan menggunakan media AV dan googleform dinilai efektif untuk dilakukan dalam rangka pemberian edukasi kepada masyarakat.

One of the main functions of the Public Health Center is as a development center with a health perspective, especially for the people who live around the health facility. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health Number 74 of 2016, pharmacists have an important role in providing drug-related information to other health workers, patients and/or the public, either through direct communication or communication using certain media. Beyond Use Date (BUD), is the time limit for drug use since the drug was first opened, mixed, or diluted. The results of research conducted by Cokro, et al. (2021) states that the understanding of the people of Jakarta regarding BUD is still low. This research was conducted to determine the role of Audio Visual (AV) media in providing education regarding BUD medicine to residents of Cakung District. Education about BUD is carried out by uploading videos to the YouTube channel and the understanding of Cakung residents regarding the material is seen based on the answers to questionnaires distributed through the media googleform. Of the 12 respondents who had watched the educational video, most of them understood the drug-related BUD information, while a small number still did not understand it. Even though the number of respondents cannot represent the actual data, BUD counseling using AV media and googleform is considered effective in the context of providing education to the community.
