ABSTRAKLodoicea maldivica (J. F. Gmel) Pers. is a unique plant with the largest seed in the world. This is an endemic species to the Seychelles in Africa. Categorized as vulnerable plant, L. maldivicia get lost of threats. Ex situ conservation has been done in a number of Botanic Garden including Bogor Botanic Garden. The Bogor Botanic Garden has a female collection of L. maldivica and artificial pollination has been conducted using the male flower from Singapore Botanic Garden. This artificial pollination has been succesfully done and now the plant are bearing 3 fruits.
