Backgrounds: The Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ), questionnaire that used for detection if a person has trouble with the locomotive organs. Validity test of NMQ has been tested in French, with results were good, otherwise in Indonesia NMQ never been tested yet. We can?t find standarized questionnaire in Indonesian languange version that ready to use. However, the aim to developed validity test NMQ Indonesian languange wheater it?s good so for that reason we used the same characteristic of subject which is administration workers using VDT.Methods: Research design was cross sectional study used total sampling that involved 80 workers as subject. Data collected used NMQ self administered and as a structured intervew for all respondents, plus additional question and medical examination relating to the spesific area (the lower back, the neck, and the shoulder) for further detail relevant issues that respondent has trouble with the locomotive organs. SPSS version11.5 was used for analized data.Results: Analysis Criterion validity of NMQ found Sensitivity at three regio, the lower back 91%, neck 86% and shoulder 89.5%. Specificity 100%, Positive Predictive Value (PPV) 100% and Negative Predictive Value (NPV) 97% for all regio.Conclusions: Criterion validity of NMQ in the study, sensitivity were good more than 80%, so the questionnaire useful as screening tool for musculoskeletal disease and NMQ can be suggestion for standarized in Indonesia.
