Pakar politik ekonomi Amerika Serikat Profesor Geoffrey B Hainswort pernah mengatakan bahwa komunisme dan sosialisme sebagai paham dan ideologi tidak akan mati, mereka hanya tertidur lelap, Hal ini pula yang terjadi di Indonesia pasca hancurnya Partai Komunis Indonesia (PKI) tahun 1965 serta semua regulasi tentang larangan paham Marxisme dan Leninisme, kelompok kiri di Indonesia seolah-olah menghilang. Baru pada tahun 1990 an Indonesia mulai muncul ke permukaan yang direpresentasikan oleh Partai Rakyat Demokratik (PRD). Dalam perjalanannya, PRD memiliki dinamika organisasi dan konflik internal yang berujung pada perpecahan gerakan. Sehingga dalam tesis ini. penulis akan mengangkat pertanyaan penelitian: Bagaimana implikasi perpecahan PRD terhadap radikalisasi gerakan kiri di Indonesia? Disamping itu, untuk memperkaya ulasan masalah tersebut, penulis juga akan membahas bagaimana format radikalisasi kelornpok kiri di Indonesia pasca perpecahan internal PRD, serta seberapa besar ancaman strategis kelompok kiri di Indonesia pasca perpecahan PRD. Dalam tesis ini penulis menggunakan metode observasi langsung ke dalam organisasi PRD dengan menjadi aktivis PRD dari tahun 2008,.sehingga ban yak hal-hal yang ditemukan dengan cara informal tanpa harus meialui jalur formal. Selain itu, penggunaan jurnal, buku-buku, situs internet, sertu literatur lain juga dipakai untuk melengkapi data dan fakta tesis ini. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini selain terpetakannya format gerakan kiri.

In this thesis, the writer use direct observation methods into PRD organization with becoming PRD activist from 2008, so many things that are found in an informal manner without having through formal channels. In addition, the use of journals, books, internet sites, and other literatures are also used to supplement the data and facts of this thesis. Results obtained from this study in addition to mapped format left movement in Indonesia after the split of PRD, in general we can also see the implications of the PRD movement towards various aspects of life in Indonesia (ideological, politicat economic, and socio-cultural), and in particular we can see?
