Tesis ini merupakan penelitian dengan studi kasus melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kondisi dan situasi kekerasan kolektif, sehingga dapat dijelaskan bentuk-bentuk dan faktor-faktor penyebab kekerasan kolektif yang dilakukan oleh kelompok suporter sepak bola. Jak Mania. Penelitian ini mengenai kasus kekerasan kolektif yang dilakukan dan melibatkan kelompok suporter sepak bola The Jak Mania. Kasus tersebut terjadi pada tahun 2003-2007. Dalam tesis ini, perkelahian besar-besaran antar kelompok suporter sepak bola dipandang sebagai salah satu bentuk kekerasan kolektif. Berbagai bentuk kekerasan kolektif dihasilkan, baik kekerasan yang menimbulkan luka fisik, maupun perusakan fasilitas umum. This thesis is a research with case study through qualitative approach. The object of this thesis is to describe the condition and collective violence situation, so that can be explained forms and factors that cause collective violence which done by the football supporter group. The Jak Mania. The research is about collective violence cases which is done and involved by the football supporter group, The Jak Mania. The cases occurred during 2003-2007. In this thesis, massive fight between football supporter group is seen as one of the form of collective violence. Various forms of collective violence is produced, the violence which caused physically injured, also the destructions of the public facility. Then, based on the data from the field research is found the factors that can cause massive collective violence between football supporter group. There are many things that can caused massive fight done by The Jak Manja, such as unwilling to accept the defeat of their team, bad performance of the referee, unsportif players so can trigger the emotion of the other supporter team also the vengeance to the other supporter group. Bad stadium condition and bad performance of the event organizer can also become the cause. Various form of violence then to be happened, such as physical conflict, massive fight, fire starter and also destructions to the public facility. Those things showed the violence that have been done by The Jak Mania is tend to disturb public safety and order. These violence also give bad impacts to the nation for the broader effects. Research about supporter massive tight is one of the context of collective behavior. Analysis model which is used in this thesis based on the collective behavior by Smelser and McPhail. Where based on that theories I found the factors that cause massive fight between football supporter, involving The Jak Mania.
