Tesis ini membahas penerapan model structured peer network sebagai alternatif penjangkauan peer education di kalangan siswa/i SMP dan SMA, dengan studi kasus Ripple Programme pada Program Jakarta Stop AIDS 2010. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif, yaitu menggambarkan pelaksanaan program di wilayah Jakarta Timur. Penelitian menemukan bahwa model stuctured peer network mengalami hambatan berupa kesulitan dalam melakukan penjangkauan secara individu, hambatan dalam membentuk second layer, hambatan lingkungan, kurang dukungan dari pihak sekolah, dan kurang kesiapan manajemen program.
The study analyzes the implementation of Structured Peer Network Model as peer education approach for junior and senior high school students to disseminate knowledge and information about drug and HIV/AIDS prevention. The project is managed under Ripple Program of Jakarta Stop AIDS 2010. The study is a descriptive-qualitative research. The research shows that Structured Peer Network Model faces some obstacles that hinder the implementation of programme; including the un-effective individual outreach, contrains in formation of second layer, peer resistance, lack of support from the school, and quality of programme?s planning and preparation.
