Pemborosan adalah musuh utama dalam proses produksi karena memperbesar biaya produksi. Dalam penelitian ini untuk mengurangi pemborosan tersebut dipetakan kondisi saat ini dalam sebuah value stream map sehingga dapat diketahui semua kegiatan yang menambah nilai dan yang tidak menambah nilai yang kemudian dibuat suatu usulan perbaikan dalam gambaran proposed state map. Simulasi dilakukan dengan software Plant Simulation untuk mengetahui perilaku dalam sistem. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa usulan perbaikan yang mengacu pada konsep lean manufacturing sehingga dapat mengurangi biaya akibat pemborosan.

Waste is the main enemy in the production process that increasing production cost. In this research to reduce waste is mapped current conditions in a value stream map that can be known to all the activities that add value and which do not add value then made a proposal to improve the picture proposed state map. Simulations performed with Plant Simulation software to determine the behavior of the system. The results of this research is a proposed improvement which refers to the concept of lean manufacturing in order to reduce costs due to waste.
