Sunwater (will be addressed as SW) is a Govemment Owned Company. It supplies water and provides other water-related services to customers ranging liom industrial, agricultural, power station and urban development-Being a public service company, there’s no excuse for the company to fail to deliver water which will leads to delayed irrigation, unfulfilled industrial needs and customers’ dissatisfaction. SW service spreads all over Queensland with assets in its 25 major dams, 81 weirs and barrages, 72 pumping station and more than 2500 km of pipelines valued at AUD$2.7 billion. As a company that provides servicw, SW is very dependent on its assets. Thus, a proper management of asset is very significant.
Such large assets are likely to have so many data regarding to its purchasing, standard manual, service and maintenance history and renewal. It requires a good AM (asset management) strategy and a good database management to store the assets’ data and information, however until the current time the management of asset database at the company is unsatisiying.
The project aims to assist the company in identigring the source of AM data in the company database. The project will use the AM data View Reference as the starting point.
