ABSTRAKSkripsi ini membahas mengenai efektivitas read aloud Sekolah Alam Cikeas, dengan fokus pada reaksi siswa setelah dibacakan cerita. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Informan yang dipilih berjumlah 8 siswa mulai dari Playgroup, TK A, TK B, dan SD kelas 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan melakukan read aloud secara rutin adalah sesuatu yang mendorong siswa untuk membaca dan menggunakan perpustakaan sekolah dan perpustakaan kelasnya sehingga semakin mendekatkan siswa dengan buku dan memupuk minat baca mereka. Melalui kegiatan read aloud, siswa dilatih berani menunjukkan berbagai ekspresi dan perasaan yang mereka rasakan kepada sesama teman dan penutur cerita.
ABSTRACTThis thesis is examined the effectivity of read aloud technique within Cikeas Nature School, under the focus of the reaction of the student after being read the story. The study under this thesis is using qualitative study with descriptive qualitative approach. The appointed sources are in the amount of 8 (eight) students across from playgroup student, student of TK A, student of TK B, and level 1 elementary school student. The result of the study/research shows that by conducting read aloud technique continuously shall encourage the student to read and use the school's library and class' library which causing the student to be more familiar with books and bring up their interest in reading. Through read aloud technique, the students are trained to show many expressions and feelings which they feel to their friends and the story teller.
